lowrys been a bit underwhelming imo... i mean hes good, pretty much what he was for us last year, but i expected him to be more efficient shooting this year for whatever reason... maybe the weight loss and **** got my hopes up... but yeah idk why i expected a better lowry. maybe underwhelming isnt the right word. i think maybe im expecting too much from him... but lowry next to a superstar level player would be fantastic. bring durant home.

We're good, but our ceiling is basically that. We lack the talent to become great.

Not holding my breath on Bruno/Wright/Bennett/Powell being that next core piece. Our nuggets/Knicks draft pick might not be a lottery pick....basically low ceiling/high floor is what we have ahead.

Yeah, I think your expectations are too high. He's been the best PG in the East by far. League wide, only Steph and Westbrook - and maybe Bledsoe - have been better at his position. In general he's 3rd in both win shares and RPM; 3rd in 3pt makes and 5th in FT makes and shooting them reasonably well (41% and 90%); 1st in steals.

For anybody wondering what kind of season Lowry is having, click this link and just do a search for 'Lowry' (I think it's ctrl-F in every browser):

http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2016_leaders.html?lid=header_leaders

My favorite ones are:

1. Stephen Curry â–ª GSW 3.8
2. Russell Westbrook â–ª OKC 3.2
3. Kyle Lowry â–ª TOR 2.5

and

Value Over Replacement Player
1. Russell Westbrook â–ª OKC 2.0
2. Stephen Curry â–ª GSW 1.9
3. Kyle Lowry â–ª TOR 1.4

The Raptors are a good team. They will probably finish with 45-50 wins, maybe win a round depending on the matchup.

They aren't great though and currently constructed, they have no shot at title.

sitting through 3-4 years of sixers bball with no light at the end of the tunnel would be tough. has this franchise ever made the playoffs 3 years in a row?

Judging by OP's original and follow up posts, I'm gonna out on a limb and say he is not trolling.

We're not good at all. Changes need to be made asap. Look at the fans who wasted their time and money in game 1 and 2 against Washington. This is depressing.

What we need is to bring in AA to make a couple of trade deadline blockbusters and then we will be elite.

We are IMO 2 pieces away. We need a legit starting 4. Patterson and Scola are rotation guys, neither are starters.

We need a bench 2 or 3 that can shoot the 3. If Ross is that guy, he needs to be that guy. Otherwise, we need to ship him out.

Only legit loss I can remember was the MIA game. The rest were in the team's grasp to win but only to fall short due to a stupid play, got lost in the shuffle, or got screwed over by the refs. I was more PO'ed by the blatant missed calls by the refs than I was with the team's play.

We are a good team. Bordering on great team but can't get over that hump. This is the point where the team needs to tinker with the little things on the roster to get over the hump of being a good team to being great. It's annoying when people want to tear that down because of the lack of patience.

Currently 8th in defensive efficiency. Not bad at all. I don't know about Eastern Conference Finals, but this team plays about as well as anyone should expect.

I kind of agree with the OP. I think that the Raptors are hovering around the top 10 teams in the league. We've had a tough schedule, and a number of players aren't producing, but we're still afloat.

The real challenge will be to stay good while Jonas is out. Patterson and Ross will need to step up.

They play harder than they did last season but the team that played together post Rudy trade 2 seasons ago was by far the hardest working Raptor team I've ever witnessed. That team rarely got blown out and fought back from double digit 4th quarter deficits to either win or make games close on mutilple occasions.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Lowry currently has a TS% of 57.6%, that would be his career best over a Full season.
