The Warriors run some plays off the triangle but it is not their primary offense. It would be interesting seeing their offensive efficiency using it if you have it.

I've never heard that the Spurs or the Hawks use the triangle at all. Pop always says that he stole most of his motion offense off Mike D'Antoni and the Hawks run the same offense.

The triangle isn't the Warriors primary offense but they do run a lot of plays out of it like you said. Mostly split cuts but they get easy layups and 3s multiples times a game from it.
Spurs, Hawks and a lot of other teams have elements of triangle within their offenses.

Saying teams have elements of the triangle is a massive reach. Every offense steals elements from other offences but neither the Spurs or the Hawks run the triangle.

The Hawks, Warriors and Spurs all go with a whole lot more D'Antoni than anything else. They absolutely don't use the triangle anywhere close to "quite a lot". This is the first place I have ever seen someone even mention they use the triangle at all. What a bizarre claim. I don't watch all their games. I guess it's possible they use it a bit?

The Warriors do run a lot of triangle. https://youtu.be/q339Mqd-uCk

Some clips and gifs from I found from both teams

I feel bad for Knicks fans. Nobody should wish such a horrendous situation on any fanbase. That said, I feel less bad for them knowing we have their pick. Thank you Phil Jackson.

His value would have been extremely low coming off his worst season and the injury. But he's been relatively healthy, played well and suddenly his contract wasn't looking like an albatross with the new CBA. There best chance to trade him was the past 2 months

Melo has name power. A lot of teams still overvalue stuff like that.

I was talking about when his trade value would have been higher. I'm pretty certain his name power didn't change over that same period.

There's no way of knowing exactly when his trade value was at his highest.

But it's easier to make trades in the offseason, when teams have more money available, and are capable of taking on money then in-season when everyone is capped out.

You're so smart. Logic doesn't stand a chance against you.

You stated an opinion which isn't fact, but presented it as if it was fact.

And I'm the illogical one?

Someone needs to learn the difference between fact and opinion.

Hoping for a Knicks collapse now to make the pick better :D

I thought we got the lower of the 2 picks? Hoopshype has us drafting Murray at 11 and the Nuggets at 17. Wouldn't it be the other way around? I'm confused about this, wouldn't he Knicks sucking help Denver and not us?

The Nuggets have 2 first round picks this draft. Their own, which is sitting at 8th currently and Houston's which is 17th. Right now the Knicks pick is 10th, meaning that we would be getting the 10th pick. Either way we're getting either the Knicks pick or Denvers depending on where the Knicks pick stands after the lottery.

Posted this in the GB, thought I would share here too:

I was told by a friend that works at ESPN's First Take that they were told by Stephen A that he is investigating a rumour that Derek Fisher was sleeping with a couple of girlfriends/wives of the players. (he probably didn't have enough after going after Matt Barnes' wife)

Not sure if this is just talk, but I thought I'd mention it here.

http://thebiglead.com/2016/02/11/espns-brian-windhorst-rumors-about-derek-fisher-and-tim-hardaway-jr-involved-with-same-woman/

Derek Fisher was fired by the Knicks earlier this week, and while some could argue it wasn’t a surprise – the Knicks were 23-32, and five games outside of the final playoff spot with 27 games left – the timing felt strange, given his 5-year contract.

Right now, before the all-star break? The Knicks had lost five straight, but four of them were to teams currently in the playoffs. Phil Jackson said it was because they’d lost nine of 10 games. Woj went deeper into the background, and confirmed that the Matt Barnes situation played a big role: “The fastest path to losing a locker room comes this way: Behave like a player.”

At around the 30-minute mark of an episode of ESPN’s TrueHoop podcast on Wednesday, a contributor named Big Wos recalled that he felt at the time that Derek Fisher’s escapades with Matt Barnes’ ex-wife during training camp were a fireable offense. “You just don’t seem like you’re taking your job seriously,” he said. “And if the players are supposed to be held accountable by this guy, and he’s in the same dating pool as them, that’s such a personal thing, the woman that you’re dating, and I think that every single player kind of understands that.”

This has all been well documented, but there’ve been plenty of other insinuations out there beneath the surface.

Phil [Jackson] failed to tell him that when you become a coach you have to move your dating sites up to the executive level,” Brian Windhorst laughed in response. “I mean I’m making a joke, but it’s also the truth. It’s now Tinder pro.”
