"Thought I told you that we wont stop thought I told that we wont stop eh eh eh eh"

Hoping to face DET in the first round - go to the Palace and chant Lets go Raptors till we sweep them in 4

Face MIA in the second and slap bosh and the heat in 6 and then face CLE in the ECF beat them in 7

Face GSW in the finals and take them to 7 and win!

After the Noah and Mirotic injuries, I'm a little less worried about the matchup. Still tough to swallow in the first round.

Remember Jimmy Butler always goes Michael Jordan mode against us.

You mean the one HALF he killed us? Did you forget he had 2 points at halftime in that game? Did you forget he had 5 points in 36 minutes the first time we played them?

If not him I'm worried about Tony Snell. If not Snell I'm worried about Aaron Brooks. Someone on Chicago always seems to have a career game against us.

Meh. I bet Masai doesn't get invited to any poker nights.

It would be great if we get it but I doubt it. I'm fine with #2 though.

Aside from Jimmy Butler and Pau, Chicago isn't really that scary.

Rose is a shadow of his former self, and butler isn't going to go off like that for four games. That leaves Pau. Scola can hold his own against him (International competition) and Patterson will make him uncomfortable.

Their rookie is also interesting, but rookies historically don't play well in the playoffs (Okay, Magic Johnson, but.. you know what i mean.)

The Raptors identity is supposed to be defense. our offence isn't that great, but if we can play defense ... we will be in good shape against anyone not named the cavaliers in the east.

If you study the remaining games Cleveland has they play very few good teams away from home. Since they hardly ever lose at home they aren't going to be losing more than 5 or 6 games away the rest of the way (something like 10-6 on the road would be necessary)

We need to beat them and take the tie-breaker, then we have to go about 26-5 (.810)the rest of the way to take first. Doable? It's doable, but it's not likely.

On the bright side, it would be hard for us to finish worse than 3 or 4th even if we went 15-16 the rest of the way.

Rose will come to play, I think, in the playoffs. Just has to get there, healthy.

I think that Rose hasn't embraced the fact that he is not the best player on the team anymore... and that is stunting both himself and Jimmy.

Jimmy goes off usually when rose is out

With the way they're playing lately. Rose would have to be his mvp self for them to be repectable. I don't even see them making the playoffs at the rate they're headed. It'll take time for Butler to come back to game speed after his injury.

The schedule for the rest of the year is a little daunting. The only easy part is the tail end of March. Plus they got a bunch of back to backs. There's gonna be a lot of losing going on.

The real test will be to see how we play after all star break! If we play as bad as we did last year we could literally miss the playoffs!

Toronto has a favorable schedule for the remainder of the the year facing only 4 tough opponents Cleveland @ home, Boston home & away, OKC @ home & SAS away.
If we beat Cleveland we have the tie breaker, we have beaten Boston twice and they have trouble with our back court, OKC have been our sons recently, SAS is tough, tough, tough especially at home. The rest are very winnable.
