Even though he annoys me because of his terrible shot selection.. I love that we finally have a guy "all-star" that wants to be here for his whole career. You have to respect that. He ain't even from here and he wants to finish what he started. So unlike LeBishtch, who left the city he's from to join two other hall of famers. He will never be the greatest.

Meh, you mean after being given the keys to the offense, not being asked to play defense much in his career, and had the green light to take whatever shot he wants "ride or die" - he doesn't want to leave for less money and a possible worse career projection/usage?

As much as Toronto has treated him well, and I'm sure he actually does like it here - let's be real - its all just lip service to the media to be liked, keep his value up, and get the max.

Even if you think DeMar isn't a franchise guy (I don't) it would be big for Toronto to have an all-star come back and play many more years for the club.

Anybody else think Demar was just saying that he is glad someone knows why he would opt out of the player option to get more money with a new contract, and not confirming that he is coming back to Toronto.

I think he will be back next year, just don't think Demar's response was as revealing as some people think it is.

I guess you're right but it's crazy for our franchise to finally keep an allstar that we drafted.

This doesn't tell us much. But I do think he will be open to negotiate as opposed to playing hard ball
