I honestly feel sad for their fans. That's gotta be a helpless feeling watching that group operate.

Sure he's awkward...his movements are weird, he's not overly fluid or pretty to watch. But he seems like he's a guy who gets the job done.

I was brave enough to say it before, so I'll say it 1 more time:

Kid's got a similar body and a similar game to Timmy D.

I see him being a pretty good addition, the play at 2:55 gets me excited to see him in SL.

Lol This board is so funny man ...I remember in the draft thread before the draft happened someone posted

"Raptors Draft Player everyone panics and hates the pick"

"A day passes and people are starting to like the pick"

"3 days later people compare the pick to HOF'ers and All Stars"

Lmao basically how it all went down word for word...You guys are overhyping him comparing him to Blake and TD ...I love this draft pick and he was BPA at 9 forsure...But stop with the silly projections...Right now hes our backup C since he has not proven to us or Casey he can play the 4 with JV ...

So let the man play a few NBA games before the silly projections.

ha! I do hear what you're saying tho. That footwork is really underrated. He seems to have a counter move to everything that is thrown at him. Will be interesting to see how he handles NBA defenders.

He would have gone higher if he wore smaller shorts and a tighter jersey. His proportions look all off because of his knee length shorts.

Should be a HOFer when its all said and done tbh.

In summer league, he shows Tim Duncan potential - RealGM goes crazy
In regular season, he gets more mins than JV - RealGMers want JV traded
In playoff, he gets double double - RealGMers want offense build around him
It's going to be a fun season to shamblefun about I tell ya. In Poe we trust.

Yeah.

Also relevant is Seth Partnow's quote in my sig.

I'm still not sold on Pascal, still would have liked Davis. But I have my bias, I am happy with Poeltl and know Masai enough that Pascal should at least be a decent bench big for us in a few years.

There's no question about his offense. The issue will be how well he can stand his ground in defense. We know what a short leash Casey has for defensive shortcomings - especially for rooks. And how we've been spoiled by Biyombo...will make Poeltl's deficiency that much more present.

People are underestimating this dude's star potential. He won't just be a role player. At the very least, I see him as an ELITE role player.

This guy is actually super quick for his position. And there are definitely some "wow" moments in that clip; particularly with his passing ability. He shows a lot of poise and appears to have really good vision and IQ. Can't wait for the Summer League.

He's a rich man's Tim Duncan, Pau Gasol 2.0, Blake Griffin with better size, who else Am I missing here? How the heck did he drop all the way to 9 is the question.

As I've said before I like the pick as much as anyone, but people that make outrageous "optimistic" posts are toxic and it generates unnecessary hate for players. With the aid of a couple of highlight videos, they take on this white knight superhero fanboy persona, and spam empty opinions of how great said player will be, predictions that even Raptors management at this point would know little off.

Tim Duncan comparisons are off, I see more Klay Thompson.
