There is some medical risk with Parsons, who had both of his seasons in Dallas cut short by right knee injuries. He had arthroscopic surgery to repair damaged cartilage in his right knee in May 2015 and had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in the same knee in March 2016.

I'm higher on Parsons than most people are and I think that's an insane offer. He hasn't proven he can stay healthy.

This offer is baffling but other than health concerns, he doesn't need to do those things to prove his worth. He's this generation's Tayshaun Prince, an all around glue guy that can do a lot of things well and compliments his star teammates with Prince being a better defender, but Parsons the better 3 point shooter. Ignoring this contract and imagining his health returned to what it was like in Houston, he'd be a great addition to Portland.
