Wow, this is shocking... I guess his per minute numbers aren't bad but I thought he was considered a 3rd string C

Agent Mark Bartelstein has convinced the Bucks to sign a four-year, $52 million deal with Restricted free agent Miles Plumlee, agent Mark Bartelstein runs around like a shirtless J.R Smith telling everyone he comes across.

Were there that many teams left who could have signed him to an offer sheet?
I have no idea why the Bucks felt the need to do this now, Unless they have a deal to send Monroe or Henson outbound.

The jump is just astronomical. I really do wonder if some players who signed long term deals last year will feel jealous of the new FA deals. I understand that players don't like gambling on their health so they want to get guaranteed money as soon as possible, but waiting one more year would likely have doubled their annual salaries. Yikes.

40 million on 3Cs and none are particularly good the reality is Monroe is by far the best and that is disturbing and none can play PF.

Not sure if Masai and company could have foreseen the contracts being handed out with the increased salary due to the new tv deal but I'm happy with our cap management.

Not a single person in this thread has a clue what they're talking about. Miles Plumlee is really good. He's better than Mason. His contract is equal or better value than Biyombo's considering they do the same things. Biyombo is a bit more mobile and Plumlee is a bit better scoring around the basket but both are athletic Cs that rebound, switch screens, set good screens and anchor a defense. I'd trade Ross & Bebe for this contract without a second thought and the team would be better than last year.

The real surprise is why Dewayne Dedmon got such a cheap deal because he's the only other guy who can approximate Biyombo/Plumlee.

13 mil for a backup Center that nobody else was chasing and that most teams didn't currently have cap room to sign for? And we don't know what we are talking about?

The owners are a making a lot of money, why do the contracts surprise you? The players make 50%, these contracts are in line with their worth.

Who was Milwaukee bidding against though? $52 million for a player that nobody else wanted.

That Sullinger deal keeps looking better and better.

This looks like a bad overpay right now even under the new cap. Let's see what Tyler Zeller and Dedmon sign for. If it ends up that they could have had Dedmon for MLE or Zeller for 3-4, then this deal is horrible.

The owners have to be secretly shaking their heads at the players, BRI is BRI so everyone gets their cut.. but each owner gets their even split & the players don't

the players union had an opportunity to build system where all existing contracts receive a percentage increase but they decided to do it this way and the players blindly agreed... now the players whose contracts don't come up this year or next are screwed

Ross signing looks pretty darn good right now, same with Carroll.

Wasn't he an RFA? Why are they giving him a 4 year guaranteed deal at this outrageous price. What in the world
