Oh but if your players don't have Kobe's game we must have made yet another bad pick... Same dum arse sht about wingspan and the Skal strategy of high upside selections. They have given him less minutes than Siakam but his efficiency has been better. At the very worst he will be a boards machine and pretty sure he has a lot more in the kit than that.

I don't like him. He plays soft and has a soft personality.

There were more skilled bigs in front of him (Sabonis, we need a PF) but Masai chose size over substance unfortunately

Rookie JV was years ahead of this kid

Well I guess this is about right. Some want to trade Wright at every opportunity so might as well hitch Poetl to the same wagon. People! Have an ounce of patience with prospects. If GMs were like some of the knee jerk fan base they would never develop a single player. Remember Powell and Siakam were seniors as was Wright. All three of those guys have shown something and that is no coincidence. If we draft a 20 year old big whose a two year player not a four year player the early returns are likely going to be different. Bruno was 18 when we drafted him and with two seasons he's a bum. Then Bebe gets a pass?

Or just pick a better player. I'm so done with Raptors on draft night like holy crow.

Thanks. Obviously my opinion is based on the limited time I've seen him play which I stated in my post.

The preseason was like a trailer too a movie. Are we not allowed to have an opinion on a movie from watching the trailer?

Grow up I asked for opinions on the guys game

I don't see what everyone likes so much about Sabonis.

Sure he can be a bench stretch 4 or something? But you can find players like him anywhere. Yeah he's a decent hustle player who won't be able to get his shot off in the paint?

Poeltl should be around a starting level centre and decent defender when he comes around- at the very least a decent trade chip. It was the correct pick.

I'll wait for the regular season before I judge him but he really did look like s*** in the pre season. I wasn't very high on Siakam either. Both players looks a bit soft.

Look, we got him for Bargnani. We got something for him. I'm happy he is on the team.

If people in the know like him a lot vs. fans who have been belly aching about Clint, Portis or freakin Skal all tunnel vision power forward fixations, I'll go with what management is trying to do. Let's not Bargnani fan block him because of cultural bias. C'mon folks rise above.

No you need to watch the whole movie maybe even twice and it may play longer that one season. :D

a) there are a bunch of Lithuanians in this board
b) people like to jump on rookies that are producing right away

This board would have traded a rookie Kobe Bryant for Shareef Abdur-Rahim in 1996.

This is actually a great analogy. Of course, you can have an opinion based on trailers. Most people do. But half the time, people's opinions change after the movie. The trailer is sometimes misleading.

There's a reason I refuse to watch trailers.

To be fair I think he was less than stellar. As long as he is not a few years away from being a few years away.

Siakam though looked better than expected so maybe it just evens out.
