The issue is our D and how does Omri help in that regard?

He might not but the goal is still to out score the opposition. Improving in any area helps accomplish that. But he also might match up with stretch 4's better than some of our options too.

Plus if Carroll or another one of our PF's go down there are not many options left to slide into those minutes.

Casspi would be a nice pickup but I'm not sure I would trade anyone other than Van Fleet for him

pass unless the kings would accept absolute junk

Casspi started for the Kings just last season. His benching seems more about an issue with the new coach then he suddenly forgot how to play basketball.

sounds right.

Bruno for sure. Doubt the Kings would do that though. I can't imagine anyone would want Bruno

Wright for Casspi and a 2nd maybe. After that you're looking at a multi player deal.

The issue is Casspi would only be like a 1-2 month rental. He wouldn't get any minutes once Sullinger comes back

If he's frustrated with his lack of playing time I don't see that situation improving in Toronto.

replace JV with a 6th grade girls basketball team captain and he'd jump at the offer. Vivek is nuts.

There's no trade worthy of sacrificing our core for unless you're getting an elite and establish defender/ 3pt shooter, then I dont see the point of any of these trade. Cousins is not the answer. Having more 3/D players or a shot blocker (if we dont wanna keep gambling on bebe stepping up) would be enough for us to meet cleveland in the eastern conference finals again. Atlanta, chicago, Indiana, and boston got nothing on this team.

Truthfully, I barely watched the Kings play last year (because I don't hate myself), but I do remember hearing that Casspi played some really good defence for them, and that he was George Karl's favourite player.

I think that he's a guy you can find minutes for because he's versatile and he's a very good shooter. I don't think it's a given that Sullinger comes back healthy, or that he'll be a better player for us than Casspi.

That being said, we're faced with the common issue of a guy having too much trade value for the assets we're willing to give up, and not enough trade value for the assets we don't want to give up. He's still young, but similar to Sullinger, if he plays well he's getting paid a lot this summer, if he plays poorly, then it's not worth trading for him.

My offer would be that we give up a first rounder this year for him, with the protection being that it's the worse of the two picks we have (so basically a pick in the high 20's). For a rental that's hardly playing, I think that's a reasonable amount to give up. I don't think the Clipper pick will have much trade value.

Hell no. Let him rot on the Kings bench.

We don't have the right assets to get him unless it's in a cousins deal.

This thread is fairly simple. If we want Casspi we go to Sacto and offer a top-55 protected pick. If they bite, great. If not, great as well.

Please no. I like Bruno and Lucas. I wouldn't even trade Fred Van Fleet let alone part of our future.
