Pick your poison: Bruno Or Pascal

Post#1 » by nbafan341 » Mon Jan 16, 2017 9:30 pm

Both bruno and pascsl were drafted hoping to be our team's future PF/or maybe SF and Im wondering how they compare. Currently, who's the better player? Who has more potential?

To be honest, im really not sure what pascal does over bruno that warrants additional playing time. If anything, teams would not cheat off bruno because he's trigger happy and would at least shoot 30% from deep while providing decent defence/rebounding. Pascals draft profile made me think he could guard 4 positions and rebound but sadly he's shown none of this and has zero offensive game, yet, he gets playing time over bruno?

Pascal has shown flashes that he can be good especially on defense. I don't even think bruno is an nba player

If I were coaching for a d-league championship I would start Pascal over Bruno.

I actually thought bruno showed flashes of good defence as well despitr being super inept at positioning for his first 2 years.

You can throw Pascal at any moment and he wont do stupid **** on the court. Thats already good when you are rookie. Idk why so many people turned on Pascal. He did okay and shouldnt be compared to Bruno who strugles to do what Pascal did in ... D league..

Do I have to pick one?

Gun to my head: Siakam, though the irony to that is if I have to watch another year of Siakam as our starting PF I will put a gun to my head

I can't confidently say that Bruno knows how to play basketball.

Seriously?

Right now Bruno is not an option. I'm probably one of his biggest backers around here and I don't want to talk about starting.

Pascal is almost in the same boat. He is too raw to talk about as a legit starter. He filled in when needed but he needs a lot of polishing. Shouldn't be talked about as a starter either.

OP needs to apologize.

If Bruno is an option then it's always gonna be the other choice. Not even a question.

Pascal. He's had some nice moments when inserted into our starting lineup.

Bruno on the other hand....still looks clueless on the court. And I understand that he has had limited minutes in NBA games but even in D-league games he tends to disappear. NBA-ready players should be dominating D-league games.

Well I'm a Pascal believer. Athletic, very fast, has shown he can be "good enough" on offence. I don't think he's a future star, but I think he'll be in the league for many years.

Bruno, I'm still hopeful for. But he's 3 years in and still can't play real minutes in a game. I'm not sure how you can argue that he's a comparable player right now when he hasn't even played in NBA other than garbage time.

Starting? Bruno can't even get any meaningful minutes on this team, let alone start.

The correct answer is IDK.
HOW WOULD WE KNOW MAN LIKE imagine if bruno gets PT and breaks out? The only player we know for sure is Siakam. Bruno seems lost AF and we have no real knowledge of how he'll hold up in the NBA til he actually gets PT. so how are we dissing Siakam AND Bruno with this question?

Anyone who is harsh about Pascal makes me shake my head. A late 1st rd pick got inserted into the starting lineup and held his own for awhile.

He helped this team get a few W's.

But pascal was never supposed to start or have any nba minutes. The jared sullinger issues and poor shooting stretch of patterson helped contribute to pascal getting thr opportunity that bruno never got. pascsl actually has zero offensive game and I would leave him to help guard and rebound and take my chances with him attempting any shot

That's biased, bruno never got the same opportunity pascal did, nor did poetl. how do you know he cant produce as much as pascal? i liked pascal emergence early on but Ive come to realize he has zero offensive game is a poorer defender/rebounder than I would have imagined.

Bruno or Hitler???

Bruno's got him on wingspan that's for sure. I couldn't find much on Basketball-Reference and Draftexpress about Hitler, but there's lots of stuff on YouTube. Mostly off the court though. I'd say at this point, basketball-wise it's inconclusive until more vids of Adolf's game surfaces.
