We should probably have a thread to track the Pacers throughout the remainder of the season since we own their unprotected pick now.

Haliburton is still out injured and is set to be reevaluated in a week. Meanwhile, they’re currently just 1 game above the 8 seed and depending on how long it takes for them to develop chemistry with Siakam once Hali returns, they could potentially drop a little.

It’s unlikely, but there’s always a chance the Pacers experiment fails and they lose in the play in, giving us a late lotto pick.

Big one tomorrow against the Kings who have the same record as them.

start your expectation with that pick getting worse as the season goes on. Anything better than that will be a win.

The odds the pick gets better are much slimmer than before we traded them Pascal.

Now we have to cheer against Nembhard/Mathurin on the Pacers and against Shai/Dort on OKC! Making things even worse! lol

The most Raptors thing ever would be this:

1) The Pacers lose the play-in tournament, The Raptors finish 6th worst.
2) The Lottery commenses - at 7th, the Raptors logo shows - DAMN! We lose our pick
3) The 1st overall pick is.... The Pacers
4) Pacers keep their pick because it is top 3 protected

This is operating under the understanding the Pacers pick is top 3 protected

Damn we are tied with the grizz for 6th worst. Sent GTJ and Poeltl to the Blazers and Hornets to help them win lol we need to drop to the bottom 4 to have a better shot and keeping the pick.

The Kings are actually horrible and need to make a move fast. Lost to the Pacers without Hali any Siakam. And without Bruce

Legit chance they fall into a 5 game losing streak to start off the Pascal era. Likely they win 1 or 2 of them but it would be great for them to have a rough several games

They're definitely gonna lose 5 straight if they continue to utilize Pascal like a role player.
