One thing for certain the videos(Knicks) that Ike Azotam fella had taken and allegedly sent to Darko had zero information about the Knicks defense.
One can only imagine the kind of defense a Thibodeau's team would have with OG, Scottie, Pascal, Jak .

Here's a good breakdown of what Thibs is doing with OG and the Knicks' defense. 6 minutes long.

Averaging 15/4/3 on 53TS% is not good. 53TS% is also not good considering he is shooting 39% from 3 and his career in the NBA and GLeague shows he is closer to a 30% shooter.

Well we are also a bad team, should we just ignore what RJ/IQ/Scottie/Ochai do? It goes both ways. Bantons numbers look like he's a solid backup to me. But if he did want to leave due to off court distractions here, it's too bad we couldn't have helped him. But that type of catering for a second rounder is kind of unheard of, so I get why they didn't reach out more. He had real talent though so I think he's going to eventually be a player in this league.

Bantons numbers do not look like solid backup. Once his 3 pointer regresses to what it always has been, he is going to be a sub 50TS% player which is straight up unplayable and is out-of-the-league worthy.

Different situation from RJ / IQ who are at least putting up efficient numbers. Banton is putting up inefficient #'s and that is WITH unsustainable 3 point shooting. He has nice fantasy point #'s, but he wont even be a rotation player next year once teams are healthy and trying to win again.

The logic is pretty sound and I have to agree there will be a regression to the mean. He’s being featured heavily in a bigger role right now, so end of the day it’s whether or not he can produce off of the bench in a smaller role that will determine his fate. That was also his Achilles here in Toronto.

I think the fact he's from Toronto is making people project what they HOPE Banton will be. What he's doing is nothing different than a bunch of scrubs will do for bad teams down the stretch while they play meaningless games.

We've seen firsthand guy likes Stanley Johnson, Flynn, Jalen Harris and now Nwora have decent nights when we were playing for nothing. The overwhelming majority of the time it is not an indicator of anything for the future lo...it's just a random scrub having himself a game.

It absolutely is why I am talking about him. But size, ball handling, vision, and now hitting 3’s is pretty noteworthy to me.

What a defender though. Best in the league at his position. Glad he’s getting recognized

O.G has always been somewhat injury prone. I don’t want to put too much emphasis on the label because it’s often unfair to player

But still, it’s another argument in favour of our O.G trade.

We would be in a bad spot should we still had O.G pending UFA with an injury that looks harder than expected to manage

I am curious at what price NYK going to draw the line.

They got no leverage. If they play around, DET , Phill, SA will gladly take him on for max.

For a guy with a sore hamstring, Haliburton sure does flop a lot.

Injury prone player on a team coached by a guy known for running his guys into the ground. What could possibly go wrong?

Taylor Jenkins with the most ridiculous challenge ever. He's clearly trying to throw it away so he doesn't have to actually use it in a close game for a legitimate claim...

I'm glad OG is getting his praise, but it's getting real tiring seeing a variation of the same tweet/report after every Knicks game. Their record is X-Y and OG's total +/- with the team is the same as the last posted one plus whatever it is in today's game. Blah blah, say something interesting.

Gutty win by Knicks over GSW. Deuce McBride gets a start, plays 47 minutes chasing Curry around like Fred used to. And adds 29 points.

A poster in Knicks GT said, give Deuce the game ball, and it immediately occurred to me yeah Thibs probably isn't the type to give a chain after a win.

Should Brunson get more consideration for MVP? And/or Thibs get COY? It's unbelievable how that team keeps winning.

Looking at the Sixers game, Maxey was +22 in 41 minutes a seven point Sixer win. So in the 7 minutes he didn't play, the Sixers were -15. Ouch! Did Moose Monroe play those minutes?

Brunson should be in the conversation yes, he's not going to win it of course. Before the OG trade I didn't really follow Thibs that much aside from guys here calling Nurse, Nick Thibs a lot last year. Now following the team closer, it's wild seeing how he plays some guys so many minutes. Hart is really doing incredible stuff with his heavy minutes and triple doubles. Thibs has won COY twice before I don't imagine this year would happen. But I just read his Wiki page, it's really full of praise from coaches and players - Coach K, JVG, Pitino, KG, Noah, Scal and others.
