Or even expand it a bit.

Gilbert
Etan Thomas
#18

TJ
Hump
AB
Filler

That's the twenty point scorer right there.

TJ issue resolved.

AB might look good with Eddie Jordan, Butler, Haywood, and Jamison.

Hmm.... Man that's a lot to pay in order to pay Gil big cash. And then we have Jose and Gil in the same backcourt.

Gil has his problems, but dont forget that in 06/07 he was a 28ppg scorer. We won't be able to get him with TJ and AB

I agree we can't get him for that but this is not 06/07 Gilbert. The fact that he's looking for max money and that he has major injury concerns puts a real damper on his value.

Arenas is a born loser and proud of it, the only way he makes your team better is when he sits on the bench.

I thought Washington had an impressive playoff performance something they could build on going into next year, the fact that Arenas wants to leave this kind of situation tells you all you need to know about the guy.

Gilbert is coming off two injury riddled seasons, he's a fantastic scorer, but the guy is among the worst in the league on D.
Anyone remember when Jose schooled him?

If im the Wizards i do my best to lock up Jamison, and get a back some quality depth in return and let him walk. They looked better without him.

What's his injury status? Who wants to give a guy a long-term contract, for big bucks, if he's coming off a major injury, except for Denver?

He's talented and has got an interesting personality. I give him that. He seems to be a bit of a maverick loner, which probably gives BC the shudders because of his experience with Marbury.

OMFG if someone brings up the whole bosh situation one more time im gunna flip! why dont just ask this question in a topic that is related to your question. Arenas situation was all about money, more then the improvement of the team.

It could be, but it doesn't really matter if Bosh gets injured or not. He will get PAID.

Lol so this is an old thread. For a second I was wondering why people were talking about Moon being our starting SF.

No, Bosh's contract situation only involves threads less than one year old.

If Bosh misses all but 13 games this year and we re-sign him to a large long-term contract, perhaps. Otherwise, I haven't the slightest clue what comparison you see.

Wow, I got a little surprised here. Thought Gil opted out AGAIN - even after signing that close to 100million dollar deal a few seasons ago
