I'd rather have Kapono on the bench doing nothing and taking up capspace than Kapono playing for our team and taking up capspace...so yes, I'd do this deal...although, Boston isn't the ideal team I'd want to send him to.

I can't believe some people actually wanted to start him...he's good for select opponents, playing under 10 min/game with a small role on the team

Kapono sucks major donkey balls.

I'd trade him for anyone that expires in 2010, just to drop his last year.

He may be useful on another team, but I don't care. The dude is just an idiot right now and sucks in all areas of basketball aside from shooting.

For the simple fact that JK's contract runs past 2010, I don't see how anyone could turn down this deal. Believe me, I'd trade him for a lot less if we received shorter contract(s) in return.

LOL we would have the most energetic bench riders in the league, definatly not a bad thing. All jokes aside why not do this deal we get a pick im all overthis actually. Let house and scalabrine rot on the pie while we develope the draft pick. Maybe we can find a gem rebounder with the late first ala Milsap?

although I agree that JK does not quite fit into our system, JK and Ray Allen at the 3 and 2 positions would be deadly for the Celtics come playoff time

Where will Paul Pierce play? Or do you mean when PP is on the bench?

Kapono needs to go to a team where they do all the work for him and he just has to (no, is only ALLOWED to) park his fat arse behind the arc, and no where else.

These teams include:

Celtics
Spurs
New Orleans
Lakers
Portland
Suns (even though he would've fit better 3 yrs ago)

He would be a nice addition if we were a piece or two away from a Championship, but we're not. Plus, it's not hard to find guys like him, Fred Hoiberg with a heart condition would fill in just as well, if not better.

Some of you guys are talking crazy.
NO pick involved!

I'd take any combination of Scal, House, Tony Allen, O'Bryant, Cassel, Giddens, Pruitt, Walker

As long as 4.33 Million is coming back to Toronto for CBA purpopses, I accept the trade

Peace.

Paul Pierce would be waived to make room for Kapono

Setting up a straight up trade : Brian Cardinal for Kevin Garnett which would surely lead to the next 7 straight titles being hoisted in Beantown.

Return to Toronto Raptors
