We don't know how to win.

Post#1 » by Joga_Bonito » Mon Jan 19, 2009 9:50 pm

Almost all the games we lost, we were IN IT in the 4th quarter. We don't know how to win games.

- The problem is in close games we don't know how to win.
- When we have the lead, we don't know how to close it out.
- When we are down and battling back to win, we don't know how to get the lead to position ourselves to get that W.

- Bosh has never won anything in the NBA and is still "learning" how to win and carry a game when the ball game is on the line.
- Bargnani has the potential to win us games but thus far, he hardly gets any touches when it matters.
- We have players like Moon, Graham and other role players taking ill advised shots that don't go in, costing us games.
- Parker and Kapono used to be clutch but nowadays, it seems like it's not going in anymore.
- And we have a coach that allows players to do whatever they want at the end of games.

When was the last time we hit a game winning shot?

I would absolutely love a 90% Jose Calderon right now.

Nope we don't, we're making mistakes similar to the losing teams in the Babcock era. Losing teams find ways to lose games.

Considering 2 of those starters didn't play today that argument becomes irrelevant.

There's a solid argument that talentwise, this is a stronger team than last year albeit they are underperforming (to say the least).

I have never seen a team lose so many close games. The fact is, the team has the talent considering their in it in the last minute pretty much every game. This team is full of f*cking idiots and choke artists. I don't doubt we would've won a couple of the past 6 games if we had Jose, JO or Marion

Believe it or not where not as bad as are wins and losses show. We kept it close we are a team thats a few smart plays away from actually closeing out a game. No stupid 3 or some luck on few of are last ditch efforts to make a shot and we dont have this thread. Sighh.. sooner or later I hope we can get it rolling and stop having to fight back from behind or feel it slipping away. We need a blow out win to get us going again.

the Raps in the reg season is what Disco Dirk is in the play-offs: NON CLUTCH.

the theory of the Killer B tandem is still promising though.

your thoughts here guys ....

with the addition of a STRONG wing player, like a Joe Johnson, a Maggette, a Josh Howard, how would this team look under a TRIANGLE offense philosophy?

Hard to win when you are playing with a bunch of stiff scrubs and when JO and Jose are always sitting on the bench with an injury.

I think we need to make a trade with an elite team to bring in a veteran who has gone deep in the playoffs.

that'll give the team more of a winning mentality...and hopefully that'll translate into actual wins.

Solution: Watch the game until 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter, leave the room and dont check the score until the morning.

Its all about basketball IQ. Nobody on the team has it. 90% of this roster has to go before next season. There's no way NBA players should be this stupid on the basketball court.

Joey Graham and Jamario Moon don't know how to guard in crunch time (or any time of the game at all) and then you have Chris Bosh at crunch time on the offensive end.

The End.

I think Bosh is the type of player that can be effective in crunch time when he is not the only player that we have to rely on everytime in the dying minutes of the game. If we had 2 other players who share duties making plays in crunch time, that would take off a lot of pressure from Bosh.

Also, if we had a winning mentality, that would help Bosh a lot. I don't remmeber but, how far did Georga Tech go the year when Bosh was playing for them?
