Swinging the Ball right through

Post#1 » by Neenja » Sat Jan 24, 2009 8:58 pm

As we all know, Bosh has trouble against defenders who aren't afraid to step right into his grill and 'rough him up' (KG, and recently to a lesser extent, nocioni). As Jack and Doug have mentioned before, the best way to get your space back is swinging the ball right through the defender and earning your space back.

I was on ESPN when I noticed this image Image

Dirk is a nice guy but on the court he SHOWS he means business. Can someone please FWD this to CB4?

P.S. this is not to bash CB IMO he is our franchise but everyone has flaws and he has SHOWED toughness (hard foul on noc last night)

Its more of a mental thing. Bosh is really a soft guy inside, it takes time to change years of habit.

I'm on my highschool team and lots of guys try to hit your grill to earn their space and sometimes its neccessary and I'm glad Drik landed one in KG's.

There was a video on the general board of Tyson Chandler getting up in Dirk's face like KG...and Dirk just drives past him and draws the foul

This should be something that a toddler can figure out

I can only dream of the day that Bosh gains these instincts...

I think Bosh looks up to KG too much to pull that off, and KG knows it.

Edit: I think KG at 38-39 will still intimidate Bosh out of his game :x

It's not an example of swinging the ball through, but I fondly remember when Bonner hammered that bi*ch Garnett; Bosh should take a page out of his book.

this is an instance where i wish that Dirk was 2 feet shorter so his elbow would connect firmly with Kevin Maurice Garnett's testicles.

That's awesome, but:

Dirk tonight: 4-17 fg, 5 turnovers, Dallas lost by 24.

Garnett's just a very very very good defender, even if you elbow him in the face.

ps: I bet Dirk got a foul there too.

That image is the ultimate answer to people talking about soft euros.
That actually made me laugh.
