Class acts call their coaches POS'?

Might as well add Rafer Alston and Mike James to this list. Maybe even Chris Jeffries.

He was more of an "act" altogether than a 'class act'.

When did Rasho call a coach a POS?

So I guess I'm a little kid if I don't have VC on my list. In my mind, these guys, especially the top paid guys like JO,VC and CB should be spending a lot of money on charities. They wouldn't make anything from this game if it weren't for us, the community. So money aside, I consider class more then just spending money that you should be sppending in the first place, but how you carry yourself and interact with fans. Vince carried himself brutaly at the end. No matter how good he was, and I'm not denying he was spectaculer, how can you put a guy on your list who was clearly giving up on the team and demanding trades publicly? That right there puts your team in a corner. If you're going to kill your trade vallue by requesting a trade publicly at least play well so your team has options. And don't get me started on the no dunking thing.

Now, onto my list.

1) Boooooooogie
2) Mo Pete
3)JYD
4)AP

100)Vince Carter

I still have a poster of the guy on my wall but he definatlly was not a class act.

Wow, giving money to charity makes you an instant class act, lol. I think some of you need to learn what 'class act' means.

I think there's a difference between being perfect and being classy. If we're talking about the "perfect" or "model" character, it's probably Anthony Parker. but if we're talking about the classiest player, as in, the player who gave back most to the community, embraced the fans and the city, and tried his best to be the ambassador of the Toronto Raptors, without question it's Vince Carter. things ended badly, and they weren't always peachy, but given the huge amount of spotlight put on him since day 1 and how he handled it, I'm not sure if you can find a "classier" individual in the past two decades of professional Toronto sports. It's kind of a shame people are willing to dwell on the negativities without giving credit to the positive contributions that such individuals made/make, but I guess that's the price of fame and being under public scrutiny.

I don't understand you guys with Matt Bonner. From what I remember and following the team, he was the most hated Raptor by far because with Smitch's man-love of overplaying him.

Let me know if any of these things mean 'class act'

-Held many charity basketball games, raised over thousands of dollars
-Built outdoor basketball courts in the Greater Toronto Area
-Personally paid for 15-20 kids from local schools around the GTA to come to a Raptors game with an escort every home game (different kids every game)
-First thing he did when he got in the NBA was start an Embassy of Hope Foundation
-Never talked bad about the City and the fans, in fact he has encouraged others to come to Toronto and that he thinks it's the best kept secret

Am I on the right track?

Return to Toronto Raptors
