Calderon game is designed for half court with good spacing. He will find the open man for open Js. But that requires that the person is able to hit Js. Marion hits at about 39% of his Js. Moon who is hated on this board for "chucking" shots 47% on his jumpers which is respectable. I will love to see what the reaction is after couple of games in which he bricks a few Js.
And how is he going to help him defensively? How did he help Nash? They were still one of the worst defensive teams. Defenses are achored by PF/C big men. Swingmen have little effect on team defense. BTW Moon defensive rating was 95.6 on team that on average allows 100 points per game. Marion was 96 on a team that allows 96. Seems to be Moon had better effect on his teams defensive rating then Marions.
heh - Moon's never been an atrocious jumpshooter like some people say he is. He's not good, but he's not bad either. Very average.

Marion
45% of shots were 2 point Js - he shot 40%, 61% assisted
Moon
42% were 2 points Js - he shot 42%, 68% assisted
For comparison
Bargnani
43% were 2 point Js - he shot 39.4%, 72% assisted
Hopefully, Marion will find his 3 point shooting touch again. People like to rag on Moon's 34.5% 3 point shooting. Marion's shooting 20%.
