To make it truly Canadian, all important decisions will be determined by a panel consisting of a Mountie in their dress reds, a beaver, a caribou, Celine Dion, and a bottle of maple syrup. Up-or-down voice votes...majority rules. Additionally, the beaver will handle scouting; the Mountie will handle marketing; the caribou will handle team-to-team negotiations; Celine Dion will handle the team's finances; the maple syrup will run press conferences and public functions.

But Glen Grunwald (although not born of Canadian descent) became a Candian citizen in 1999. He was our GM from 1998-2004.

I would have thought the hiring of Leo for TV broadcasts and to run the Canadian team simply because he was Canadian and logged 5 minutes on a NBA court would be enough evidence to rally against this type of thinking.

Leo is a joke,kicking of Dalembert for no apparent reason. lack of knowlege of basketball,face it most canadians are hockey oriented,the next gm gotta have a real basket ball backround and knowlege.

Canada doesn't give a **** about basketball. Only Toronto does, and sadly, 99.9999 percent of people from Toronto are horrible at basketball.

How would a Canadian GM make anymore of a difference than a American GM? It doesn't matter where he's from, as long as he knows his basketball is the main point.

And I wouldn't want a rookie GM from Canada to take over this team. It would be disastrous...
