So what would be so bad if we retired his number? he embodied everything we want in a Raptors Jersey. The statistics may not deem him worthy of it, but everyone who remembers watching him play knows how special he was to us fans and the organization

Guys like him belong in the organization like the Leafs keep guys like Clark and Sittler around. Guys like Boogie rub off on the young guys, heart and determination.

I thought you guys were talking about another Boogie! that posts around here.

But nonetheless Alvin was a class act, we need to bring him on this team in some sort of capacity. He'd really help Roko and even Calderon. He could even mentor Bosh if he needs too. The man is a hard-nosed, tough leader. One of my all-time favourite Raps.

OP, check your PM, re-editing a Mod's edit (no matter what the circumstance) is a serious offense.

You work hard and never give up and you can be immortal in this city. It's as simple as that. Raps fans love guys that work hard. It's well deserved for Boogie. A class act, a warrior. I can't see anyone not respecting Alvin.

Anyone remember the Boogie Crossover? That was the bomb. The crossover should at least be considered one of the All-Time Anklebreakers.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Funny you bring that move up, it's a great move to get your shot off. It's become my go to move when I need to get a shot off and I added it to my game after watching Alvin do it for years.

His cross was disgusting and just painful to see what it did to the defender.

Amen brother.

and lol @ that JYD commercial. That takes me back... also reminds me of those Shox commercials with Vince and Payton.

It's too bad Vince blew out his knees here. That teams success was way too short lived and fell apart with so much potential still unrealized.

Memories of Alvin being labelled as one of the up and coming young point guards in the league. Around the time we moved Jackson for Childs.
