I think its fair value. Clearly Bosh would resign there with a dominant line-up of:

Haddadi
Bosh
Gay
Calderon
Conley

Gay/Bosh = Kobe/Shaq 2.0

I don't get why Boston wants in on this. Rubio's nice, but they already have Rondo who's a perfect fit for them, and I really don't think Thabeet is worth giving up any critical pieces for, especially since they already have a pretty good post defender in Perkins.

You know they all want La Pistola.

Boston won't trade Rondo for an unproven floor general given their window is only open a crack. Several kneecaps could fall off in Ricky's adjustment year.

Houston has a good thing going with their PGs, I don't see a trade there, and Memphis would be crazy to trade Rubio to a division rival.

If I'm MEM and I know Rubio wants to play in NY, I ask for #8 and Danilo and offer Rubio, the #36 and Arthur/Haddadi or something. New York really has nothing else to trade.

Rubio will be a superstar, but Memphis could really assemble a great, young, well rounded starting lineup.

Conley/#8
Mayo
Rudy
Danilo
Gasol

Yikes.

The only mildly realistic asset that makes sense from any of those teams that Memphis might be interested in is Rajon Rondo.

And for Boston it would be a strange deal given where they are at in their franchise success cycle. Perhaps the rumours of disappointment in Rondo's attitude are true, and they don't want to have to pay him the 10-12M annual that he will get on his next contract.

WHO IN THE BLUE HECK DOESN'T WANT THE #2 PICK (outside of the clippers)????!?!?!

I think it's more that they are going to try and make a play for it, not just that they want it.

Maybe, but I REALLY like Danilo, assuming he's healthy, and MEM could be without options if he refuses to come.

None of these teams will get him. Memphis has the lowest payroll in the league, and they need a young PF who can score in the post and anchor a defense. Like a Horford or Nene. They'd be better off trading down with Washington and Sacramento and picking up a nice young prospect like Thompson or McGee, and then pick Hill.

Forget Thabeet, if the Knicks get the 2nd pick they're going straight for Ricky. Ricky in D'Antoni's system would be fun to watch. They can package the crap load of PG and SG they have for something else.

Highly doubt the rumor is true. Ainge and Wallace used to work together, so they were probably just on the phone chatting, shooting the breeze. Perhaps a janitor walked by Chris' office and heard him say "Ok Danny, take it easy. Chat with ya later", and just made the assumption that the Celts were making an offer for the #2.

However, if there is any ounce of truth to this rumor, I presume it would be because Danny is hesitant to give big money to Rondo at the moment, hoping to have enough salary cap space for 2010. Draft Rubio at the #2 for the future, sign either Jason Kidd or Andre Miller for the MLE and start for the Cs, thus allowing them to compete for another ring.

i hope there is a top prospect next year because that team is destined to finish last

Id rather finish last with that team then with the team we have now. Btw do you really think memphis would make that trade? i was just being wishfull on my part. Bosh for mayo would a good trade. I would do that trade straight up to be honest
