Rudy and Travis for the 9th pick.

That is protection against Marion leaving with Travis, and a pretty good with potential SG in Rudy.

Actually, I'd throw in Hump if they would part with Batum too.

Toronto buys #18 from Minny for cash.

Toronto trades Humphries + Ukic + #18 for Outlaw + #24

Toronto then drafts the best available PG at #9 (Jennings / Flynn)

If BC could get 18 from Minny, I think he would want to keep it.
However, Humphries + Ukic + #18 for Outlaw + #24 would work for me.
Jennings won't be there at 9, but if he is, I'd prefer his potential to DDs.

So the Raps have been spending all of their energy and resources around the clock for the last month into scouting the 9th pick, only to trade it to Portland for Outlaw.

Some of you guys need to wake up- the pick will not be traded for Outlaw. I would welcome sending a combination of either Hump, Roko, S&T Parker their way for him, however.

Portland laughs at the idea. You'd want Batum back if you throw in Hump? Absolutely delusional.

I'd be ok doing #9 for him if we didn't have Marion already lined up. He's better than Outlaw so we're not gaining much unless we think Outlaw will break out and be an important piece of our core forever.

Also Outlaw is getting paid next year. Could be demanding

After trading RJ, I wouldn’t be too surprise about them going after a serviceable SF.
Alexander & Mbah a Moute are too raw to contribute.

Yeah, Outlaw has an unguaranteed contract too. Though that Amir deal might show they're done cutting salary but I dunno

Plus he'd be a starter at SF for us, and has great size. We can then focus on the S&T of Marion, hopefully for a decent SG. I don't know if Marion is gonna bring us back any legit value in an S&T, but it's something I guess.

I don't know what the real deal would be, or if it even includes Toronto, but Portland would be much better off with Marion than Outlaw. That said, I don't see why Portland wouldn't just wait until July and sign Marion outright.

But I would love to do S&T'd Marion for Outlaw and Rudy F.

And don't forgot, our 3 "big men" would all be jump shooters. That's getting tougher Jay! Tougher to watch that is.....

Looking at the guy in your sig thats all I see, jump shooting in a half court set. Derozan is compared to Outlaw by many only difference is Outlaw has more NBA experience and can contribute right now.

Bosh without the 9 is too much for this bunch. Oden has bust written all over him.

Just to be clear about this, if we go after Outlaw, we aren't planning on having Marion on the team next year.

I see a defensive rebounding strong stud who will break out this year and I also see Bargnani moving to PF where he would be at his best. I also see us having the rights to Oden and Bayless for many years to come a quality promising SF and a talented young pg + pick.

I didnt read through all 8 pages, so someone may have mentioned this. I believe if the team was in the top 5, it would have read "A team picking in the top 5 wants to acquire Outlaw." By extrapolating to the top 10 leads me to believe it's a team in the 6-10 range.

Outlaw is a nice piece and a definite upgrade from what we have now at the 3 or what we could potentially have in this draft.

Derozan doesn't make us a contender for at least another 5-6 years. Bosh will not be back if this team isn't significantly better and I doubt BC thinks he can build a team in a year given what we have as assets. This may be the only way to show the team's commitment to getting better now.

I'd trade #9 for outlaw. He's better than anyone available at 9 in the weakest draft in a long time, he has expereince and polish but can also plya halfcourt and uptempo, can space the floor or attack the rim. A good all round player, better than derozan/johnson/henderson by a long way.

The team is said to love that Travis can get out and go on offense.

The Knicks have Chandler/Galinari at sf so it has to be us .

could possibly be the bucks.
