OT: Celts could go shopping for Moon?

Post#1 » by LittleOzzy » Thu Jul 2, 2009 2:55 am

Jamario Moon -- Doc Rivers would like a quality backup for Paul Pierce and the Miami swingman, a revelation when he first broke into the league with Toronto two years ago, intrigues the Celtics. Classic example of a free agent who will demand at least the full mid-level for his next deal.

Sounds like the writer of the article is making a presumption...

Meh I don't get the Jamario hate at all ITT

He played here for the minimum and performed a hell of a lot more than guys paid 6-10x as much, not just relative to salary but in terms of pure productoion.

I'd be happy for him if he can get paid. Full MLE is ridic but itg'd be nice if he could secure a good contract for his family.

There's a variable to that, when they play for the Raptors, it won't happen.

Me too.

One of the NBA's greatest acts of charity I remember was when JYD got his contract.

Look at all the love Kleiza is getting. Moon/Kleiza are very comparable players. In fact Moon is more efficient and the better shooter. Yet most people on this board are willing to spend large amount of the MLE on Kleiza while they wouldn't touch Moon with the minimum.

Good for him if he can get paid but seriously I hate the line of I need to get paid for my family. The NBA minimum is more then 98% of what most of the people in Canada or the US live on.

Someone please give me a minimum contract I'll be a millionaire and multiply it a few times over shortly after.
