Understanding what mods do

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to what moderators do.
its a slow news day, so I just wanted to shed some light on what typically goes on in a day.

6 AM: Alarm goes off
6:20 AM: we all meet up at LittleOzzy's house and go for a 5 km job.
6:45 AM: after our jog, we meet up at Tim Hortons to plan our day. Alfred usually treats us to coffee because he gets a staff discount.
8:00 AM: we return to our respective home offices and boot up our operating systems.

8:15 AM: alarm goes off. someone's posted another Chris Bosh twitter update. We're all over locking it up.
9:00 AM: Supersub15 gets a call from Bryan Colangelo, asking him to post something that will leak information that other GMs will see. Maurizio G emails Supersub15 statistics that will sway fans accordingly.
10:00 AM: the first of our 3 daily stipens is automatically transfered into our account.
11:00 AM: YogiStewart takes out the darts and blindly throws it at the dartboard. the number it lands on equals the post that I will randomly lock.
12:00 PM: 3 hour lunch break *note* this is the best time to post your Chris Bosh twitter updates!!
3:00 PM: more posts randomly locked. We giggle at your confusion.
4:00 PM: the day shift moderators meet at SottoSotto for an early dinner meeting and drinks. TheDoctor gets sickenigly drunk, vomits all over his computer, causing another thread to get locked randomly.
4:30 PM: YuriValtin wakes up from his sleep in his cryogenic chamber and prepares to moderate the night shift.

its an announcement of what we do, as per the introduction paragraph.
you see, it walks you through our day. or, as the kids say nowadays, it BREAKS IT DOWN.
