OT: Could Chris Paul be traded?

Post#1 » by appel » Fri Jul 17, 2009 2:17 pm

Chris Paul believes that the Hornets could trade him because of their financial situation.

New Orleans is set to be over the luxury tax, and might have to bite the bullet and deal away some big contracts.

:o :o :o
B0sh+Banks/Evans for CP3+Chandler can match?

With CP3-Turk-Bargs-Chandler we can put Little Ozzy in the SG too ( ) and we're a contender anyway

If the Hornets trade CP3 because of finacial worry, the league needs to fold the team or move them.

This is garbage.

New Orleans may as well just fold the franchise if they even entertain trading Paul.

These kind of players do not come around often they already are in dire financial straights.

The article also just has Paul saying essentially that anyone in the league can be traded, not just him. Classic example of the moron editor at the RealGM office fabricating Wiretap stories with out out of context quotes that are turned into attention-grabbing titles.

If they want financial relief why would they trade for Bosh? and don't they have David West already? lol....

I would average 0.30 points, 0.0 rebounds, 0.0 blocks, 0.01 steals and 15.8 turnovers a game.

The league should step in ... owners are just traded players left and right for financial reasons. Its really killing the competition in the league. If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on OKC to land him. Send Westbrook/Green/future first and capspace for CP3/filler ...

Theyd be better of trading anyone and everyone else.

CP3 plus 11 minumum guys would be better than the Hornets - CP3

The article has a comment by Paul in which he indicates that yes he COULD be trade as anything is possible. This isn't even a rumor of him being shopped.

Non issue really. New Orleans isn't that stupid to trade CP3 away because of contractual issues, he'd be the last one to go if the situation was that bad. I think hes just acknowledging the reality of the business.

Very similar to JP saying something innocent along the lines of "I'll listen to offers for Halladay, I wouldnt be doing my job if I didn't listen to them" Then ESPN takes hold of this and next thing you know, TOP STORY "JP is shopping Roy Halladay"

I love the media.

it's funny how all he's saying is that it's possible for anyone to be traded in this league - just stating a fact - and people think he's actually going to be traded. Hornets ain't that dumb.

I can't possibly fathom how you'd get a touch 16 times a game. Especially in the types of minutes a 0/0/0 player gets. I'd love to see it in action though.

Imagine we do get CP3, how sick would our core be CP3 + CB4 + D-Smooth
