Yeah we can get a true picture of the team early on, this hard schedule can be a good thing, for BC to see if the team is actually that good. But this will play on the mentality of the players and will be bad for the mentally weak, and October to December being the depression seasons it might get pretty ugly but who knows, miracles happen right...?

Book it.

Ain't no way we're gonna lose to the Cavs coming from a back-to-back.

I feel pretty confident facing the Magic @ home. We always play them well even last year.

Phoenix and New Orleans don't seem as scary as last year, so I say those are winnable games.

Mavs, Spurs, Jazz and Nuggs....sweet. We face 4 teams that can all potentially win 50+ games in the 1st month. OK, I'll concede those games. I'd be happy if we go 1-3.

i Like your attitude. One small change though.

I wonder what Boston's schedule is like. I'm not giving up hope that we can take the Atlantic if they falter. Glad to hear that they're starting against Cleveland as well.

Oh, and this schedule makes it pretty unlikely that we will see DD in the starting lineup before December.

1. Cleveland – L (obviously, sadly)
2. Memphis – W (Rudy Gay what!)
3. Orlando – W (sub-par coach + deep bench = bad rotations = L) Steal this one!
4. New Orleans – W (switch wright onto paul and hope for the best)
5. Dallas – L (I think Dallas is going to be good early in the season with those old legs, lose it late…)
6. San An – L
7. Chicago – W (match up well, Jack on Rose, we’re a deeper team)
8. LA Clippers – W (Eric Gordan what!)
9. Phoenix – L (again old legs are good early)
10. Denver – L Just a better team. More physical and smarter
11. Utah – W Wishful thinking… nah! A flawed team with distractions. Steal this one!
12. Miami – W We’re a better team; O’Neal will be hurt by this point.
13. Orlando – L Maybe if it was in Orlando, Vince wouldn’t score 40+
14. Indiana – W Keep Troy Murphy in check! Just kidding. Pacers suck.
15. Charlotte – W My crush on Wallace grows deeper yet he only grows older and less productive. if only we got him a few years ago…
16. Boston – L We’ll get stomped.
17. Phoenix – W Late afternoon game? WTF? Suns are a flawed team – as long as we attack, we win this game. Suns…getting…tired…
18. Washington – W A fun game! Shoot out! Raps are deeper we win
19. ALT – W By this point Josh Smith will have murdered Woodson and replaced him with a plank of cedar – horrible shot selection only increases leading to Raptors’ win (this one may be a stretch)
20. Washington – W I think we’re a tougher team than them (maybe one of the only teams in the league) and I think we take this one. Only guy I’m scared of is Butler.

I'm surprised no one has projected the playoff seedings and run-through all games in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Tough way to start the season.

I am always hoping for a good start to the season, but the Cavs and Magic are both scary opponents.

We are going to have play huge to win either of these games.
On paper they are both better teams than us.

A tough November might squash the confidence of what's an already mentally weak core (minus Hedo). Let's hope the 3 main weaklings from last season (JC/CB/AB) come play with some confidence and step up. Even if things don't go well in November I'm hoping they don't just give up like last season.

And you have us going 4-0 against Phoenix and Orlando. 3 of those are at home, and i suppose its possible, and I hope it happens. However 2-2 and owuld be realistic. Anything over .500 going into december will be a success imho

I think getting out of November with a 10-8 or 11-7 record is more than doable....anything above that, and we're looking at a 50+ win season folks.

Knowing Raptors nation we are going to Panic and demand a Triano firing after we start the season off 7-11. Just LOOK at our schedule in the first month.

vs Cleveland
@ Memphis
vs Orlando
vs Detroit
@ New Orleans
@ Dallas
@ San Antonio
vs Chicago
@ LA Clippers
@ Phoenix
@ Denver
@ Utah
vs Miami
vs Orlando
vs Indiana
@ Charlotte
@ Boston
vs Phoenix

*Games in Bold are teams ranked higher than us entering the season.

5 of 18 games against the 'elite 5'
14 of 18 games against playoff teams.
Only 1 game against a team with no hope at the playoffs (Memphis).

I'm glad we are getting some of the harder games out of the way early. We may be able to catch some teams off guard before they find their groove.
Go Raps!!

I see us going 11-7 in the opening month, maybe we give or take a loss or 2, but i definitely see us finishing a couple games above 500.

I much rather get the West Teams and Contenders in the early 3 weeks.... even those teams will have some bugs to work out... potentially we can steal.

Easier to steal early in the year, then when they are in mid-season form....

Be prepared for US Media... gobbling up a likely slow start to the Raps season and correlating that with instant Bosh leaving and we should trade him now for picks

Return to Toronto Raptors
