DeMar DeRozan's Blog Update!

Post#1 » by DG88 » Wed Sep 16, 2009 2:20 am

On Raptors.com our favourite Rookie DeMar DeRozan gives us an update on his reception in Toronto, talks about training camp being around the corner and a little show he might have with the Raptors NBA TV crew.
What’s up Raptors.com,

Just wrapped up a meeting with a crew from Raptors TV about producing a cool feature this season for you guys.

Basically, I just want all of you to see how I’m getting adjusted to NBA life both on and off the court. You’re going to see me putting in work as I get ready for the season, but I want to make sure you see aspects of me off the floor in my everyday life too.

This is something I always wanted to do. To share what I go through, to show everybody what it’s really like. I want to show you I'm working in the gym twice a day, but I also know you want to see what I'm doing for fun away from the court!

I know I would always look at a lot of NBA players and wish I knew what they were doing after the game or after practice. What are they doing at home or when they go out to get something to eat? But now, with stuff like Twitter out there, it’s so much easier for me to share my life with my fans when I’ve got that time and doing this “mini-show” this season, I’m going to get to show you guys even more.

This Kid has fan favourite written all over him. He's open to sharing but level headed and grounded. Good combo. The true test will come when things aren't going his way and the fans and media get on him. If he can handle that and excel from it, he'll be gold.

2 work outs a day baby. Something tells me he's not going to half- ass his career. Pretty sure we got a gem here people!

I like this part from his blog
It’s been a lot of fun, but my main focus is the season. I’m still working on my overall game, trying to get better at everything that I do. I don’t want to come into the season with limitations on my game.

I can't wait to see DeMar in action. WHERE ARE YOU PRE SEASON!

If you work hard and have the odd highlight-reel dunk, the fans are gonna love you. And if the fans love you, the media won't be getting on you either. I think he'll be fine.

Seems like a good kid to me, can't wait to see him play. Tons of potential, and with that work ethic it sounds like he has a good chance to fulfill it.

I'm so use to his twitter grammer, weird seeing things spelled proporly, lol. Doesn't even seem like him w/ out a spelling mistake or 10.

I don't want the guy to think he has to do everything and all things too soon. I hope he doesn't go beyond doing what is asked of him, which can lead to mistakes (I understand that's part of the learning curve). Just want him to play hard (specifically on D) and take it to the rim on a consistent level. He's got the whole season to work on his game. I guess I'm keeping my expectations of him on an even level.

Man gotta love D-Roz. 8-)

I will continue to tell people that D-Roz will surprise when this season begins.

He has all the tools to excel at this level.

Peace

He's work ethic is actually pretty impressive.

People were doubting his jumper prior to the draft and he came into SL with what looked like a pretty decent mid range game. People are doubting his handles now. Let's hope DD shows a little somethin somethin this season
