Can we expect Bosh to lose his virginity this season?

Post#1 » by Amped » Sun Sep 27, 2009 10:43 pm

...His 22.# PPG virginity that is.

Let's have a look at his career stats:

Career Stats
Year Team League GP GS MinPG FG% 3P% FT% Stl Blk TPG RPG APG PPG
2008-09 Toronto NBA 77 77 38.0 48.7% 24.5% 81.7% 67 77 2.3 10.0 2.5 22.7
2007-08 Toronto NBA 67 67 36.2 49.4% 40% 84.4% 63 67 2.3 8.7 2.6 22.3
2006-07 Toronto NBA 69 69 38.5 49.6% 34.3% 78.5% 39 90 2.6 10.7 2.5 22.6
2005-06 Toronto NBA 70 70 39.3 50.5% 0% 81.6% 50 79 2.2 9.2 2.6 22.5
2004-05 Toronto NBA 81 81 37.2 47.1% 30% 76% 76 113 2.3 8.9 1.9 16.8
2003-04 Toronto NBA 75 63 33.5 45.9% 35.7% 70.1% 59 106 1.4 7.4 1.0 11.5

With the upcoming season being his contract year and having an overall improved roster, can we expect Bosh to break out of the hump and average more than 23+ PPG? He seems to be stuck at 22.# and having Turk will relieve some double team pressure. What do you guys think?

No. Raps are going to have better wing production, not to mention Bargnani may hopefully have an improved year now that he is going in with Triano who Bargnani has openly admitted he feels more comfortable playing for.

Bosh's ppg may very well go down

I'm more concerned with if he'll lose his 10.# rebound virginity

I thought this was going to be about his first round virginity a la T-Mac.

I predict Bosh will put up about 20.5 PPG.

I'll be very happy if he puts up another 10+ rpg season. 11+ is asking too much of Bosh.

OP, the first step in losing your virginity is actually finding out the correct meaning of the word.
The statement below is true

The statement above is false

I know but I consider that a fluky season. I don't expect that he can replicate that again, do you?

What the ****? I just thought I would try to be a bit more creative as oppose to "Do you expect Bosh to avg more than 23PPG". I do know the correct meaning of the word...this is a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) post/joke.

That's a solid point. Turk needs to get his points and I do hope Bargnani improves this season into the player everyone on this board expects him to be. Bosh's numbers could go down, but then again we can raise the bar for Bosh this season and hope for 23+ on top of our other wings.

I`d like to see his assists improve. Not too concerned about his points or rebounds because he will bring it and if those go down it could mean he is finally getting help.

That's a a good point as well, but with Bosh solidifying himself as a "superstar" in the L these past couple seasons, we can expect at least 20/10 for a PF of his caliber. With Evans, Nesterovic, and hopefully with an improved Bargnani, we can hope he maintains 10RPG.

Why are you guys calling it his virginity lol....well i think his ppg will INCREASE because he'll be a lot more open....his rebounding will be less because we have good rebounders now.....but i think he'll put up more points....im going to call 24 ppg.

Just because he has been stuck at 22.#. If he can bust out of that number he can finally be considered a straight up G. 24 would be nice...that's what I would guess too. With Turk being so clutch last year I think he is going to draw some attention, as well as an improved Bargnani. So we will see.

I see this as a good thing IMO, hopefully it would also mean more assists and rebounding.

Bosh definitely needs to improve in the passing department. If he can get his assist total over three that would be a huge bonus. Same too for Bargnani, if they can combine to average 5+ assists/game, the team will be rewarded with more wins.
