Holly MacKenzie wrote:HM: Okay, let's talk about your number. Why do you wear number 10?

DD: Ahh, 10. I never really told anybody why I picked 10. This is the first time I've been asked, but going into college watching the Olympics and seeing how Kobe really went in saying he wanted to be defensive minded, I wore 10 for his Olympics number so I could be focused like that. Nobody knows that really, so thats the first time I ever said it. But I wear 10 because it's Kobe's Olympics number. Especially for the defensive end.

Then he should wear No. 23 and focus on what MJ did and be like that.

HM: Biggest moment you remember in Raptors history?

DD: When Kobe scored 81 points.

Nice.

Nah man, no. 9 would be more appropriate. Then again, better to aim high but not too high. It's good to hear about him being inspired by defense.

HM: Were you always taller than everyone or did you shoot up in high school and have an awkward phase?

DD: Yeah, when I was in about 7th or 8th grade I shot up to about 6'3" and then by my senior year I was about 6'6", 6'7".

Holy crap! DeMar has actually shrunk since highschool!

I think this is some kind of physioligical miracle!

I hope for the day when Demar and Defense become synonymous with each other.

HM:Okay, out of your teammates, who is the....

Funniest?

DD: People don't know, but Turk is probably the funniest. Oh my God, he's funny. It's out of Turk, Antoine and Sonny. They are my top three, but Turk, ya'll gotta catch Turk, he's one of the funniest dudes on the team.

Maybe that's why he's funny ... cuz they don't understand what the fck he's saying most of the time.

I'm impressed by his commitment to playing defense. How many rookies out there say they want to improve their defense?
