This is a pretty big number of viewers for last night's game. Either every sports fan in the city tuned in the Raptors, especially the last quarter, or there was good viewership elsewhere.

Even with the new ratings system that’s a pretty impressive number. It beat the two lowest rated NFL games and is close to the curling, which is very good considering the curling was on CBC.

Best part is that they put on a very entertaining performance to a large viewership. That's how you build a fan base and increase viewership

Count one from Sask, probably one of three people but it still counts!

My peeve is with our Score overlay. Its far too crammed into the bottom middle of the screen. Just do a strip across the top that majority of other sports providers do and call it a day.

hate to be pessimistic, but you can't forget that we were playing LeBron and Shaq. Surely that would influence a few occasional watchers to tune in.

I'm in a bad way this term. No tv, and either my internet is too slow, or I just couldn't find a good stream.

Was there a Raptor game last night?

Me and my curling buddies had a gay ol' time last night.

Outstanding numbers for the Score. This game was originally scheduled to be carried by TSN2.

Yeah from time to time it would black out, slow down, cut the feed and I would jump on this forum to keep me posted. Good times!

Smart move for the score to pick up the feed.

Great game, no opening night should be on TSN2.

That was one hell of a game.

Wow, I'm impressed that many people tuned into the Raps game, particularly with the leafs and the World series on. I hope this new found statistic for the Score is going to equal more basketball games televised on TV.

Heads up everyone, Portland and Denver(10:30pm) are playing on the Score tonight, and we got Chicago and San Antonio(8pm) on TSN2. WHOOOOOO, its about time the NBA came back to us.

Mo Money, Mo Problems.... errr... yeah, so how about them Raptors?

I hope it's not a repeat of last years early euphoria by jumping out the gates with the 3-0 start. There definitely is something new about this team (Yeah 9 new players) 8-)

yeah for some reason a lot people i know who don't watch basketball tuned in last night. I don't know why exactly. Maybe it was the lebron and shaq buzz, but to net that big of an audience is crazy. also it was a great game to introduce new fans to. amazing atmosphere, showed off a talented team and most importantly people saw a win. i agree that the score deserves this, they've invested a lot of time and resources into raps ball compared to other networks, even though it might not be the most profitable thing to do, so hopefully it starts paying off for them in a big way.

You're right. In the summer a new more accurate ratings system was introduced which is producing higher viewership numbers across the board.

Regardless, these are impressive numbers. Having 740,000 watch the last quarter against a Leafs game and the World Series id huge.
