No chance without Calderon, Bargnani
It was a night for someone to take control, a night when a weakened team needed an unexpected boost, when the Raptors looked for someone to pick up some slack. They got nothing.
They got nothing from Hedo Turkoglu, the high-salaried free-agent acquisition. They got nothing from Marco Belinelli, the frenetic backup, who is supposed to bring consistent energy. They got nothing from rookie DeMar DeRozan.
What they got – not unexpectedly – was a loss.

Out of Step
It was their second road game in as many nights and the Toronto Raptors needed someone -- anyone -- to step up.
With starters Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon both in street clothes, it was all the more important.
And when too few Raptors beyond Chris Bosh elevated their games, the 117-95 pasting they suffered at the hands of the struggling Milwaukee Bucks last night was not surprising.
Raptors value takes a drop
The Toronto Raptors -- 11th on the list -- were estimated to be worth $386 million, citing a three per cent drop in value.
At the bottom of the 30-team rankings are the Milwaukee Bucks at $254 million.

Bucks guard Roko Ukic, playing against his former team for the first time, scored 17 points -- which was more than anyone on the Raps with the exception of Chris Bosh.

Bucks dominate as Raptors' offence sputters
Talk of spreading the floor permeates the Toronto Raptors to the point where the basketball jargon truly starts to lose meaning.
However, take away a few of Toronto's vaunted perimeter shooters and the meaning comes flying back. Without the threat of the three-point shot, Toronto's offence can look suffocated.

Bucks snap Raptors' win streak
Rookie Brandon Jennings said he needed to be aggressive from the start. It almost cost him in the end.
Jennings scored 22 points before hyperextending his left knee near the close of the third quarter and the Milwaukee Bucks shot 52.5 per cent to beat the Toronto Raptors 117-95 on Wednesday night.

Bucks end 4-game losing streak
In the end, it went into the record books as a victory for the Milwaukee Bucks.
A much-needed victory, that is, for the Bucks, who had lost four straight and eight of nine.
But will Milwaukee's 117-95 decision over the Toronto Raptors at the Bradley Center on Wednesday night go down as an especially well-played game by the Bucks? That depends on what end of the court we're talking about.
