Re: Whats the problem with the Sixers?
heres what i think the raptors should do. Anyone else agree with this or like it?
Raptors Trade:
Marcus Banks $4,553,793
Amir Johnson $3,941,667
Rasho Nesterovic $1,990,000
= 10,485,460 X 1.25 + 100,000
= 13, 206,825
76ers Trade:
Samuel Dalembert $12,025,694
Royal Ivey $1,050,000
= 13,075,694
Why? Ivey becomes our backup PG till Jose is ready. Hes a veteran and knows his role unlike Banks who jacks up ill advised shots but Ivey would bring stability to that spot. Dalembert however adds huge shot blocking, offensive rebounding and takes the load off Bosh. Also he would play with either Bosh or Bargnani and get significant minutes (about 25-30) since Evans is hurt. I think this is the deal to fix the Raptors defense
Jack/Ivey/Jose(Injured)
Derozan/Belinelli/Wright
Hedo/Weems
Bosh/Evans/Pops
Bargnani/Dalembert/O'Byrant
* on a side note this also gives us a C just in case Bosh bolts we get someone who can play with Bargnani. If Bosh resigns we then have 17 million in expiring contracts to make that next level push or use it in a S&T. I think it makes sense on many levels and with ticket sales down bringing in a Canadian will surely boost that up.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

They need a PG.
Calderon and Belli for Dalembert + their draft pick.

Following Bargnani's Progress since entering the League: Bargnani, Ill Mago, Barney, Bustnani, Bust and a Nani, Beastnani, Beardnani, Killer B...

Try getting Philly to agree to that trade. Why do they do this again? They'll be left with Rasho Nesterovic and Jason Smith as their centers, that's arguably the worst center rotation in the league! Speights and Brand are not capable of playing center either, especially Brand, he's undersized enough as it is as a PF.

Re: Whats the problem with the Sixers?
I suggested Bargs and Banks for Dalembert on the trade board.
Works in the trade checker.
Dalembert works with Bosh, Bargnani works with Brand.
And we unload Banks.
I wonder what kind of response I'm going to get from Philly fans.
I know the Bargs lovers will hate it, and the Bargs haters will like it.

I suggested off season, maybe we can trade Calderon + expires (Banks) to Phili, Brand to New Jersey and Harris + expires (Doolings) to Toronto (since Harris is not happy, plus they might get John Wall anyways).

speights plays centre for them, their lineup would be
Iverson/Holiday/Banks
Iggy/Green/Williams (injured)
Young/Kapono/Carney
Brand/Amir/Brezec
Speights/Smith/Rasho
I dont see anything wrong with that C rotation.

Re: Whats the problem with the Sixers?
They're more of a run and gun team. To compensate with Brand being in the lineup, they slow the whole system down. Look at tonight's game. Brand isn;t in the starting lineup and they're out gunning the warriors. With the athleticism of Iggy, Young and Holiday, and with the driving ability of AI, they should thrive in the open court. All they need are more 3 pt shooters that are somewhat athletic to keep up with the system. Krapono isn't there answer.

Re: Whats the problem with the Sixers?
Even if it's against the Warriors, the 76ers losing streak ends tonight. For those wanting to trade for Thad so easily, as if he's just a rotation player for the 6ers, look at his statline tonight.
Simply don't involve Thad in such trade talks. He's value is probably a bit higher than Iggy's in Philly. Jrue Holiday with a very nice game as well, starting tonight.

Agreed with Chuckerz above. Brand doesn't start, and look at the difference. So smooth.

From Elton Brand, after last night's game:
"It's like, no disrespect, but [Golden State's] Mikki Moore gets the start and I don't. Not that he's not a good player ..."

Re: Whats the problem with the Sixers?
Brand was an epic fail for them. Not as a player but probably the worst choice from a fit perspective. On top of that they have a bunch of shooting guards masquarading as point guards in Lou / AI / Iggy. Holiday is too raw to do anything of substance yet.
Honestly, Philly and Chicago should make a trade with the principles being Heinrich and Brand. Brand can play PF for the team that drafted him and Chicago could use some frontcourt scoring while Heinrich can start for Philly as their PG.

In their fast pased offence. He is great in a slower paced offence.
Trade them Jose for AI ... Jose can slide up the court in his wheelchair and throw it to brand.
