I don't think Fanzz store managers get the first phone call.

You don't tell the manager he's being traded. You tell him to put X, Y and Z merchandise on sale.

However, I will admit this is more wishful thinking on my part and rather than definitive evidence.

I know the Fanzz marketing guys - the discounts on Jefferson and Millsap jerseys are purely due to a large decrease in sales. They've been heavily discounted for several months, actually.

Retail is a reactionary industry - if the jerseys were selling there would be no reason to discount them. All the trade speculation has simply caused people not to want to waste their money on a jersey of a player who might not even be here next year.

You guys have it all backwards. It's the Fanzz managers who are making the call to the front office.

"Jefferson and Millsap jersey sales are down. Even with our steep discounting they're not moving. It's time to make a trade."

I was at Fanzz today...I made a joke about not being caught dead in Jazz gear, and he said I know(like there has been a decline in gear sales, and after last night nobody has got anything Jazz related.

Usually is for bigger sizes. XX+ don't sell as quick. But still nobody buys Jazz gear like they do Utes(utes have their own store, and take up half of Fanzz). Hell I wasn't even their for Jazz gear. I think nobody really likes Jefferson, either way, I think he is the reason why we lose. He has a really **** attitude, and I think it rubbed off onto Millsap, cause Millsap has had contract issues in the past, and he never dropped that low after. He might have a good jump shot, but you don't play center and shoot. I rather have a reggie jackson type player at "center", who focuses on rebounds, and then picks, not shooting the ball(aren't big guys meant to rebound).

Maybe we will trade him away and get up on that Gay/Calderon deal...then again, I don't know, I am just a fan, not a Jazz Genius.

I personally don't know if I want Calderon. I am not sure he is better than Mo, he probably is, but I wouldn't give up more than Mo for him.

Trade machine says we would go up 7 wins, just by switching Mo for Jose...

I personally think it would be a huge step forward if we traded Millsap for Bargnani. Then we could watch Corbin play Bargnani instead of Favors instead of watching him play Millsap instead of Favors.

I don't know if Jazz are wild enough to bail on Jefferson. I mean people look at it as a dumb move, its like Memphis removing Gay from their lineup. They want it, but everyone is like WTF.....

Calderon is a little older, but I think he plays with purpose if you give him that role. I just don't see him coming here to play back up, and if we keep Mo, which we won't, he could play SG. Although Foye is better and should totally stay.
Tinsley and Watson are cool, but they are missing a lot of pieces, the only thing they really got is their experience and knowledge, by no means do they have the talent of guys like Lillard or CP3. I thought about this before and looked into it, but after today's puff piece, I think I rather see Watson as an assistant type coach than our PG.

1st Unit:
Calderon/Mo/Draft Pick
Foye/Burks
Hayward
Favors
Kanter

2nd Unit:
Burks/Tinsley/Draft Pick
Burks/Murphy/Draft Pick
Carroll
(Trade)/Draft Pick
Evans/(Trade)/Draft Pick

I meant to write Burks, not Mo.

Hayward is just so versatile, its a shame he isn't a starter. But your right, our current bench is awesome with hayward there. I have been saying for all year Carroll makes the better starter, even if you don't give him the minutes, because we need that energy from the start.

Calderon/Mo
Foye
Carroll
Favors
Kanter

Mo/Draft/Trade
Burks
Hayward
Draft/Trade/FA
Evans/Draft/Trade

I honestly can't imagine the Jazz trading: Core(Burks, Hayward, Favors, Kanter), or Foye and Carroll.

Mo, Marvin, Millsap and Jefferson, will not be missed. I like Mo, but I only see him as a bench PG, unless he can step up to be like Lawson of the Nuggets. I also like Millsap, but its probably time to move onto someone better.

I like this too but I say draft Archie Goodwin and not sign Calderon. Goodwin is just such a stud and he's a great combo guard. He can shoot, pass, and get to the basket. A starting back court of Goodwin/Burks in a few years would just be intense.

Yeah I agree with you, they will not trade the Jazztastic 4, Foye, or Carroll. It would take a lot to aquire one of them and I imagine the Jazz only wanting an All-Star PG for Hayward, Favors, or Kanter. The trades for Hayward, Favors, and Kanter that I have read have been ridiculous, like has-beens and former all-stars for them. I think we get Mozgov in the offseason as our bench C, put Marvin at the bench PF. We would still be a deep team, all we need to do is aquire a decent, young PG through the draft or trade.

I would be ok with that any way we can package Mo/Millsap or Watson/Millsap to another team for picks? To a team in desperation of some cap space for the summer

Mo, Watson, Millsap, and 2nd round pick for Paul Pierce? Only if we sent Marv to Memphis would I do the Pierce trade.
