Seriously look what Horny did with less talent! You think he would want to have a decent 1st season record now he may not even get to .500. Playin catch up to Corbin

He is en-synced with the Celtics' front office, and doing what he's told. I wouldn't judge him based on this season - his rookie season in a tanking year. If anything, I'm jealous that the C's got a coach who gets it and we don't. Mark Jackson was losing on purpose too in his first year, and then turned out to be a pretty good coach.

The way I have seen it Corbin has tried diffrent things, but still follows most of what Jerry Sloan did. Again, a fresh face would be nice to see

I don't see it. This team's offense looks almost nothing like a peak Sloan team.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

Our offense consists of passing around the perimeter for no purpose, excessive dribbling, and hoisting up long twos or contested threes at the end of the shot clock. We don't pass quickly to move the defense. Both Burke and Hayward dribble without purpose much of the time.

On occasion we do operate the pick and roll with Favors, but not enough. Some times we are bailed out by Burks' miracle shots on his good drives.

"@Mitch_Lawrence: #Utah Jazz ready to pull the plug on Tyrone Corbin and go for a new coach, according to #Jazz exec."

So I think its official, hopefully. I was a little worried the Jazz would have been loyal to Corbin

Who do you think Mitch Lawrence really knows?? Sounds like a logical guess to pretend he has some inside edge he doesn't really have.

Did he watch the Jazz play? Then I'd say he probably knows enough...

The Jazz FO has refuted Mitch Lawrence's claims. They claim they have not made a decision, which after Ty's tenure is troubling.

True... but that's why I said its a logical guess. He's saying this as if he has the "know". But Jazz don't leak much if any information they don't want out...

Obviously me or you could have said the same thing, but we honestly don't "KNOW" for a fact :P We can only hope he is correct though. But it's really not news until it is factual imho.

Next Jazz Head Coach

Aren't the Jazz FO principles (Rigby, Greg Miller) at a board of governors meeting in NY today?

Sounds like someone was a little loose with their talk with other execs.

I didn't know they were there. I bet someone overheard a converstation and wanted to be the cool guy who finally announces it. I would pay big money to be the guy who breaks that news, Utah would throw me a party.

"For unknown reasons, Corbin slotted washed-up veteran Richard Jefferson into the starting lineup for 78 of Utah’s 82 games.

During the same time frame, he buried 7’1” center Rudy Gobert on the end of the bench. The 21-year-old Frenchman has received an average of just 9.6 minutes per game as a rookie, and while he’s still extremely raw from a talent standpoint, the Jazz had nothing to lose by giving him valuable NBA experience via more court time
Jefferson is a respected veteran, but he certainly doesn’t fit in with Utah’s future plans. As a result of Corbin’s wonky lineups and desire to play veterans over young pieces, he has essentially solidified his standing as a lame duck coach."
Exerpts taken from Bleacher report

"Utah’s frontcourt is positively brimming with potential by way of Favors, Kanter and Gobert. Unfortunately, Corbin’s player development skills are nothing to write home about.Bringing in the right coaching candidate, who will allow the big men to play to their strengths, is a big need for this franchise."

Who do you think they target? (assuming Corbin is not re signed) a veteran coach or a young college or assistant nba coach?

Counting down the days until the Jazz finally pop the cork and send Corbin packing. He is simply a bad coach, period. Now is the time to complete the rebuild. Land a top 5 pick or trade to get into the top 2, get Parker, and change the culture immediately with a young, energetic coach!

Corbin is meeting DL today according to the newspaper.

I lost a bet....I bet Ty was going to be fired before Woodson. At least it was just a verbal bet with no money.
