Fiba World Cup 2014, 4 Jazz on World Cup rosters

http://www.fiba.com/basketballworldcup/ ... .....Dante Exum

http://www.fiba.com/basketballworldcup/ ... ......Rudy Gobert

http://www.fiba.com/basketballworldcup/ ... ......Enes Kanter

http://www.fiba.com/basketballworldcup/ ... ....Gordon Hayward

Hayward hasn't made the final cut yet and Kantner probably isn't playing this World Cup
This should be great for Exum and Gobert to play in the best Tournament this year.

Kanter won't play, Hayward is just a cannon fodder/punching bag during training camp for those who will be selected to represent USA. Exum and Gobert will play limited minutes of the bench at best.
At the end of the day not much to be excited for Jazz fans.

Why is Gobert going to play limited minutes? Ajinca (hurt) and Seraphin are below average players, Gobert should play more than them IMO. I don't even see Mills on the roster for Australia, so shouldn't be too hard for Exum to get PT. Did you do any research on the rosters?

You mean best basketball or FIBA tournament right? Because this crap definitely doesn't stack up with the FIFA World Cup.

France will play Diaw at centre more than Gobert or Seraphin. Only 5 fouls in international basketball before you foul out, Gobert will have hard time time staying on the floor. Gobert is just not very suited for international game at this point.
No kid Exum's age or physique played any meaningful minutes in FIBA world cup. If you think he had trouble vs d leaguers and scrubs in summer league wait till he sees best international men. I mean grown up men. He will get slaughtered. As sad as it is Dellavedova will be main PG for Australia.

Exum definitely needs to get into shape, I can give you that and that was his biggest issue I think in the summer league. I think that France will play Gobert at C, Diaw at PF, and Batum at SF.

Sidenote, as Argentine, I have to take my hat off to Ginobili, he's 36 and he continues to play for team Argentina in these tournaments. Unbelievable commitment to the national team.

That's a pretty good frontline of Gobert,Diaw ,and Batum....put in Fournier at SG...who's PG Nando de Colo?
Gobert will play alot ,he's France future.

For Exum ,he's in Australia now.he has a month to get in better shape and this is basketball shape. And agree Exum will get alot of playing time .It's no different anywhere ..if you're one of the 5 best players on the team ,you'll be playing.

http://www.fiba.com/basketballworldcup/ ... ers--squad

Recent NBA draft picks Dante Exum and Cameron Bairstow have been included in the Australia squad to play at the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Australia have lost Baynes' San Antonio Spurs teammate Pat Mills to injury but still have an explosive backcourt that includes Exum and Olympic guard Matthew Dellavedova (Cleveland Cavaliers).

Brock Motum, who shone for the Boomers in the Sino/Australia Challenge, has earned a spot in the squad.

The Boomers leave for Europe on 5 August and will have nine friendly games.

Nine friendly games before the tournament ........exactly what Exum needs.games

Paul Millsap got invited to the US training camp. I'm interested if Hayward makes the cut or not.

Also because he reportedly doesn't have a very good relationship with the Turkish national team.

Do you have a chip on your shoulder from the Orlando Magic passing you over?
No, I don’t buy into any of that stuff. And, they had a vision for where they wanna go with their program, and I’m not going out to prove anyone anything.

You know, I’m happy where I am at the Utah Jazz, and they’ve invested a lot in me and willing to invest a lot. So you know, I’m just happy to be there and I just wanna do what I, the expectations I put on myself. So yeah, I’m not going into the NBA season saying, “I want to prove the Magic wrong,” so.

If you want to. I can make some "reports" on Gobert games (when I watch them) if you want to or at least if I find something interesting on him I'll share to you

I didn't see tonight game but here's a translation of a part from a french article on Gobert in tonights (in France of course lol) game :

But it's the other center of les Bleus, Rudy Gobert, who mainly made a big impression. For his fourth selection at 22 years old, the Jazz' player displayed his progress since his departure for NBA one year ago. With his extraordinary athletic potential (7ft), he was a level above during the first half (9 points, 3 rbs, ended with 16 and 6) and allowed France to make up her disadvantage on the scoreboard after twenty minutes (36-33).
