I only have one question, but thought people in the future might have questions on the cap.
If you were starting from scratch and have 12 people drafted and no one else on your team, what would be a reasonable amount to pay, assuming that you have picks all around the board. The reason I am asking is if you were a team who built through the draft to a fault, how much would you have left over to resign whomever you want to keep. I know the NFL has a rookie wage scale, but don't think the NBA does, so I can't figure this out so easily (not that the NFL would be easy with 7 rounds and 53 men rosters).

Nevermind, found this: http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-s ... raft-year/
I guess I'll turn this thread into this: if you had 12 picks of any draft in the last 12 years (you can go further back if you'd like) and picks were every other five (but your choice) what year would you pick?
Ughh, no one's going to answer that - at least not one much different than 1984 draft or LeBron's year. Oh well.

Re: Salary Cap Questions
If one were to pick every other 5, the first round would add up to: 12,820,300 and if we were to say that the remaining six players are paid between the 1st round floor (911K) and the lowest paid rookie (490K), that would add another 4,204,200. 12,820,000 + 4,204,200 = 17,024,200. 63 Million - 17 Million = 46 Million (plus those cut) for superstars! Just kidding.

Yes, but not intentionally. I asked a question, figured out the answer before anyone would reply, and I shared the answer I found. I should have deleted the thread once I figured out that the NBA does have a wage scale.
