Kanter needs to show he can defend PFs or protect the rim in the next two or three months or he's going to get traded.

I dont think he has to show he can defend so much as do what he was thought to be able do best pound other 4's and make them play his game ....right now Kanter is trying the other guys game better than them ,the Jazz in general are getting punched instead of punching 1st.
What their defense looks like is their running back for transition defense ,not trying for offensive rebounds and other teams are still attacking their defense ,being the aggressors.
Where's the hungry dog on rebounds ,Dallas shouldn't be winning the rebounding war against a younger Utah team.

Younger does not automatically make you better rebounding team.

We all hoped we would be the Suns of last year, but we remind me more of the Raptors and Hawks of last year. We will improve with each game that passes, but unfortunately we are not in the eastern conference.
Play with the Pass, Play with a Purpose, and Play with Pace along with Obvious Unselfishness....Coach Snyder says the sky is purple than Jazz players say nice purple sky! LONG LIVE THE MAD SCIENTIST!!!!

Or at least rebound like an animal.

He had two defensive rebounds in 20 minutes along with two offensive rebounds and didn't log any other positive box score stats besides points. 0 Assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals.

I mean, Exum had a bad game, too. But it was only his second game. Kanter is in his fourth year and aiming for an 8-figure paycheck. He's got to have more of an impact on the game.

I think Dallas won the rebounding battle in this game mainly because there were many more missed Utah shots than there were missed Dallas shots.

That is insulting to those two playoff teams. Raptors were one of few teams who finished in both top 10 in offense and defense. Jazz are absolutely not even close to them - where the heck you came up with this nonsense?
I may see Hawks resemblence since Snyder was assistant there but even then they had super fast speedy pG in Teague who can drive to the pain at will and kick out to open shooters. We have no players to successfully emulate Hawks.

Were not going to win any games if we depend on 3's to win. Bottom line. More often than not, were likely to lose because of them.

Burks is probably our only hope. I seriously tuned in with like 4 minutes left in 1st, and we had like 20 points. I tuned in like 3-4 minutes into 2nd, and we had like 4 more points.

Why is it so hard for our guys to score? Burks is only one i am convinced is worthy of being our #1 scoring option. Even then his style is meant for making comebacks, or fighting strong runs.

Not sure why the focus is on shooting so many threes when we shot 40% from three and gave up 120 points.

Because we won't shoot 40% every game, but we might just take so many threes every game.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.
