"Flow" and "slowing down the game" are nebulous terms that can mean a lot of things and are not necessarily connected to the the statistical measurement "pace". You can have great/good flow and still play at slow statistical "pace"(Miami, Chicago). Or you can have no flow and play at extremely fast statistical "pace" (Lakers, 76ers).
But Kanter isn't asked to do anything that interrupts the flow either, that's the whole point. He is being asked to give handoff passes behind the 3pt line, an that's about it. How come it is him who is disrupting the flow or slowing the game down when that is all he does? This is why this criticism is unfair.

We have no idea what has been asked of him in the current system, but he makes those decisions repeatedly with the same result - turnovers, bad passes and his stats are similar in both Snyder's and Corbin's offense. He has 3 TO/36 min this season. You cannot blame it on the system. He's a big with practically no ball handling responsibilities. It is inexcusable having 3 TO and 1 AST per 36. If you are turning the ball over that much, you better have some good assist numbers as a big.
I agree - I don't think he is a great passer, but he isn't as bad as some will have us believe. Like I said, he isn't being asked to do much more than handoff passes, and there isn't much assist potential there. As for his TOs, as I explained in another thread, those numbers are currently skewed by two 5 TO games, where most of them weren't his fault, and it should correct itself in the long run. Furthermore, you admit he is used mostly as a finisher, so it is no wonder his assist numbers will be low when he is the last stop who is asked to shoot it.
Also, if you chose to use the per 36 metric to point to his 3 TOs, let's not neglect to mention he also averages 20-10 per 36, and those 3 TOs are perfectly acceptable for a 20-10 guy.
