Lance Stephenson anyone?

Post#1 » by HolyToledo12 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 4:38 am

A good defender who fits well alongside Exum and Hayward defensively but does cause us a concern with lack of outside shooting. 2 possible deals

Kanter and Alec B for Stephenson and Cody Zeller

or

Favors for Stephenson and Cody Zeller

Jazz do it: Get good defensive SG and stretch 4 in Zeller. Stephenson over-paid but only next year guaranteed and third year is team option. Offense outside weak but already bad at least defense and rebounding improves.

Char: Gets rid of non-shooting SG and get PF in Kanter or Favors.

Kanter Trade:

PG Trey (4 now) Exum
SG Stephenson Hood
C Gobert Favors
PF Favors Zeller Booker
SF Hayward Hood

If Favors Trade:

PG Trey (4 now) Exum
SG Stephenson Alec B
C Gobert Kanter
PF Kanter Zeller Booker
SF Hayward Hood

I'll take Lance if he agrees to see a therapist
EDIT: and if we get a 1st rounder cause right now he's awful and a bad contract

I would be very, very worried about trading for him. Seems like he prob needs to be on a contending team to play the right way. Or maybe just strong personalities to keep him in check. If he was on the Jazz I would be waiting to hear some silly story about how he tried to fight Hayward in practice or something silly like that

Favors for Stephenson is just terrible for us.

Lol, The Pacers want a first round pick in order to take the toxic Lance's contract, you want us to give them arguably our best player. WTF?

I'd offer up Novak and Booker.

Not enthusiastic about Lance becoming part of our future. We could get him for nothing, but trades for the immediate success of the team don't really do much for us.

Also, Cody Zeller is not a stretch 4 and has never been one. He barely shot jumpers at Indiana, and while he's shooting them now, he's not good at all at them. Yes, he is white, but that does not make him a stretch 4.
