Lamb / PJ3 watch

Postby SantaMenon on Tue Jan 08, 2013 7:28 pm

Just wondering if anyone watches their D-League games in Tulsa?

Im watching them play now, and man we have so much talent waiting to be called up. When Lamb/PJ3 crack the rotation they would be fantastic in the 2nd unit.

Lamb has a sweet shooting stroke and PJ3 is so versatile, he just splashed a 3 with ease. Daniel Orton looks pretty smooth too, a little more playing time would do him wonders.

One has to think they would be upgrades to our 2nd unit, Maynor / Thabeet just don't have a long term future there. Lamb / Orton / PJ3 have to fit in somewhere. They would at the least, give us energy + good shooting, which we could have used in the Wiz game. I know Brooks put on Liggins, things like that would help in games like that down the road.

Lamb should get more playing time with Sefolosha out.

Will he? Is an other question.

Question would you give up Lamb, PJ3 and Toronto's pick for Demarcus Cousins?

That trade makes no sense for the Thunder to even listen to. If you trade for Cousins that means you have to give up Perk cause that creates a log jam @ Center. Can't see any trade where both PJ3 & Lamb would be sent out

Not to me. I was thinking you'd keep Perkins as a back up. I know he's an expensive back up but there isn't a bad contract on the OKC roster. Or you could amnesty him.

But if you wanted to include him, you could add in Salmons.

So what about.
Perkins, Lamb and PJ3 for Cousins and Salmons.

This would mean Cousins starting. Thunder wouldn't want that. I don't think there'll be a move for Cousins, and shouldn't be. With this package we can get a proven center, and honest defensively.

I believe that Cousins would be a far better character and player if he were on a contender, he's the guy that hates losing, and his strong nature makes him a headcase on a losing team. But I think Thunder would not be interested in taking the gamble, and don't really should.

That's still trade for PJ3 & Lamb don't see a trade like that happening. Taking out Perks leadership & bringing in Cousin would hurt more then help. Cousins offers more offense but he needs somebody to help him grow up which KD & company would be doing.

Lamb with 30 pts, 9 assists, 8 rebs for the 66ers last night :) Perry stayed with the squad in the Staples center but got no playing time. Hopefully he gets some tonight against the Warriors.

Jeremy Lamb reminds me of Scottie Pippen. Hes not quite as tall but is close on length--has that same all around game. He can play at that level in college and the D league--so lets see it transition to the NBA. He certainly is a bright star--if he was in college he would be pick 1 this year.

Lamb is absolutely tearing it up right now in the D-League. Hope we don't trade him.
