Anthony Morrow is the missing piece to a championship.

I don't **** know why Presri hasn't got him yet.

I hate this LBJ/Melo waiting to make one **** decision it's **** ridiculously. OKC should let go of Gasol, because he's not coming. OKC would of signed Gasol if they had moved Perkins, which I don't under-stand why they haven't consider moving him. OKC needs shooters

How would moving Perkins let them sign Gasol? If they amnesty Perkins they are still limited to offering Gasol the MLE, because even without Perkins they are over the cap. The only way they can offer more is with a S&T with the Lakers and the Lakers wouldn't facilitate that without getting something they wanted like Reggie in return.

Great story. LeBron leaves Cleveland for a better team in Miami and leaves Cleveland in shambles. LeBron leaves Miami for a better team in Cleveland and leaves Miami in shambles. It's the same story as before just going the other direction.

And that pick you mentioned on TF is just hilarious really. Cleveland may get a good pick outta that deal as well.

minutes opening up.
If we trade perkins in a 3 way maybe gasol can earn more than MLE and we sould still have the MLE.

Does a S&T only have to be a 2 way? Couldn't it be we trade Perkins for a TPE and we get Gasol for that TPE?

Minutes opening up? If they sign Gasol they will either trade or amnesty Perkins to keep from going into the tax. Yes, in theory they could trade Perkins to a team who will take his salary. In addition they will want a legitimate asset. So we'll throw in PJ3. Then to do a S&T with the Lakers to get Gasol they will want an asset. We'll throw in Reggie Jackson.

So now you have Gasol, but you have lost Perkins (irrelevant), PJ3, and Reggie. So now you need another wing for the bench and a backup PG and FA is in full swing with most of the top players signed. I guess Caron Butler can take PJ3's roster spot. Then we can just throw Telfair out there as the backup PG. That doesn't seem like a better team to me, does it to you?

If Gasol will not sign for the MLE it is not worth the asset price it will cost. Supposedly, the Thunder are at the top of the list for Gasol and near the top for Morrow. If they make those two signings they will be in VERY good shape. If they miss on Gasol it will be Ibaka, Adams, Collison, Perkins, McGary and Thabeet as the big men next year.

I'm not giving up RJ. Maybe PJ, but NOT RJ. That's too much...

Perkins, picks, PJ is enough for Lakers.

Adding Gasol, at the money he wanted, would have cost Reggie even if not directly in the S&T. If not this year then in the off-season when he left via RFA because they would not match the contract since that money would have been spent on Gasol. That is why they offered Gasol a 3yr max MLE offer. That would have allowed them to keep the rest of the team in tact as they hit FA over the next few years.

Reggie will be resigned with the money coming off the books from Perkins. If you would have given Gasol that money you get a 35-36 year old declining big man instead of Reggie in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. Gasol was only an option if he really wanted to put winning ahead of the money. He showed that wasn't what he wanted to do.

I'd take a look at Kirk Hinrich for the BAE or league minimum. He is still rated highly by defensive metrics and is a passable shooter / ball handler. Would be a nice piece to put next to Morrow in a second unit since he can guard a lot of SG as well, making Morrow easier to hide. Start Reggie Jackson to make him happy.

Morrow was my last case scenario guy, not real excited by the signing. He's a shooter which we needed but it don't know that he's a legitimate starter. I originally wanted Lamb starting but he has looked so bad in summer league I don't know it's a viable option.

If we start Reggie, Lamb is going to be in competition to be the 1st or third guard off the bench with Morrow. Telfair is guaranteed time at the backup point, so we're stuck in between 'we've got to let Lamb develop' and 'Lamb isn't performing, we need a guy knocking down threes.'
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I'm not excited about starting RJ. He's much better coming of the bench with the second unit. I rather start Roberson or sign Wesley Johnson to a deal.
