Brian cook is on detroit's team? Isn't he like 35?

So the first SL game against the Grizzlies is coming on pretty soon on NBA TV at 4 CT.

Also of note, Grant Jerrett is out with an ankle injury and won't play in the summer league.

How many shots in the paint did Roberson miss? McGary was solid for having not played for a while and he definitely brings hustle and effort. Semaj showed some flashes. Roberson showed he can do everything except put the ball in the hole. He missed FTs, shots at the rim and it was just ugly. Lamb and PJ3 pretty much scored at will when they wanted to. Adams looked good even after the injury, but didn't get to play as much as I would have liked because of it.

Huestis didn't show much when he was in. Overall it was a lackluster performance. Jordan Adams and Jarnell Stokes looked good for Memphis. Stokes is going to be a good replacement for Zach Randolph in a few years. Hopefully, Huestis, Roberson, McGary and Semaj can show more the rest of the week. It's just one game so no reason to overreact, but Roberson has to be able to make a shot if he's going to play in the NBA.

Loved what we saw from Mitch. Pretty skilled big other than shooting (which he can still develop). Also high motor player which is what we need from our bench guys.

Huestis probably is the sort of guy who needs to be set up to score, something you don't get in Simrmer League.

The Grizzled fans had to love what the saw from Jordan Adams.

Watching the first half seems to confirm the box score from yesterday. Noone can shoot. I really hope Miller signs. On the bright side, Adams still looks like a man amongst boys, and has a sweet new forearm tat.

Looks like McGary can play, I'm feeling somewhat better about that pick at this point actually. 12 boards and second leading scorer, not too shabby.

McGary can definitely fill a role with this team. And to think he's still not at full strength yet. His effort and hustle alone will be contagious. I see him playing very limited minutes initially but he's more than capable of carving out a role on this team. Hopefully Scotty will give him that chance, particularly if the bigs are struggling.

I'm still not sold on Huestis but I knew he was going to need time to develop so I'm not sure what I was expecting to see from him anyway.

Not gonna lie, but I'm impress by McGrary performance from yesterday. I'm beginning to think Presti know's how to pick the right players in the daft.

Adams should have been selected with 21st, McGary or Stokes 29th

Although I am pleased with what McGary showed so far

Mitch McGary Highlights from yesterday. You guys got an absolute steal. I have been a fan of this guy for a while and can't wait to see how he meshes with your team. The ability for him to heal up and learn the game from the bench for a while will be a big plus to him as well. The video below does a great job of displaying what he is going to be able to bring to your team.

Thanks for sharing. I do think he'll fit in very well in OKC, with his playing style and personality. Initially, he'll be struggling to find minutes on this team but if he plays well on both ends of the court, he'll get opportunities to expand his role going forward. Collison will be a great mentor for him but he'll need to jump him on the depth chart to see any significant minutes. That may take longer than it should because Brooks is known for favoring veterans in his lineups. It'll just be nice having another big who can finish around the rim after watching Perkins' anemic post-moves over the last few years. I like him at the 4 but he'd be interesting at the 5 in a small-ball type lineup with his athleticism, strength, and passing skills. Something like Westbrook/Jackson/Lamb/Durant/McGary or Jackson/Westbrook/Durant/Jones/McGary.

Agreed. I don't see him getting a lot of minutes early if nothing else due to him having to play himself in to game shape. He will however, as you mentioned, provide a lot of versatility in the types of lineups that you can trot out onto the court. He was poised to have a great year at UofM. Wish my Pacers could have stolen him somehow haha If McGary manages to develop a bit of range/consistency look out(I think his current jumpshot is underrated. He simply wasn't asked to take that shot in college)

Mcgary was in my top 5 before the draft. You got a massive steal. Enjoy
