He has been struggling to get position, but he has been finishing well. If Russ starts hitting his open shots it will open up the inside more.

Yeah, that's a problem. We need him to get Len in foul trouble though.

The Suns always look like a championship team against us, it's annoying man.

True, and I think DJ assisted two of his baskets. They definitely play better together than Reggie/Dion.

Just like that...3 posessions that get into the paint first 2 find open players on the outside and Serge finishes a Congo hook shot.

WB was doing too much. He needs to stop shooting and make smart decisions like he did in the past 5 games. I don't under-stand why he's doing too much?

I hope he post up DL in todays game..

Ive come to really dislike the Jazz media outlets. They all seem very blind to the idea that the problem they are facing is a top down problem, not the players.
I pointed this out to one Jazz person on their radio show, once Favors leaves (because he will) and Rudy eventually, they will be on their third group of big men that are all stars or all star level players, on other teams. With the previous two having done nothing but go to waste on the Jazz. I get player evaluations and wanting to be as accurate as possible, but that's very hard to do when you have a team that is nothing but a black hole.
Kanter wanted out because he very quickly realized the revolving door for big men and the lack of direction and improvements by the front office.
Fanboys tend to forget or undermine these things, as if they are something you can simply set aside or ignore and this is something they tend to be doing when discussing Kanter's defense.
When, IMO, Kanter's defense is perfectly fine. Its not fantastic and he definitely needs to improve, but in a good defensive system (like ours) he is doing fine and at 22, only going to get better.

Al Jefferson killed ball movement, I think it was a good choice to move forward. Paul Millsap was a little undersized, though I think for what he was seeking, he was great value, that's one guy I regret letting go, but I like Favors more going forward, and I don't know how much Millsap would liked coming off the bench, or Favors for that matter. Kanter was very young, and I liked him a lot, but he was definitely a liability last season, and a lot of times this season too. In all the cases, I think we did a poor job in what we got in return (nothing for Al and Millsap), and the late 1st, 2nd rounder, and probably what will be scrubs in the other two guys included in the trade for Kanter. Still we needed the capspace that was freed up when we let Al and Millsap go to resign Favors, Hayward, and Burks. In the of the day, we have a rotation that includes Gobert, Favors, and Booker, so I don't think we've done bad at all. Those 3 guys play great defense, and we need the rim protection that Gobert and Favors provide as a young team, something Big Al, Millsap, and Kanter didn't really provide much of. It's more complicated than just a revolving door for big men, there has been a pretty good reason each time for the decisions we've made.

It still baffles me why we have played so poorly against PHX this season. Let's hope we play better tonight.

Huestis also looks to be a pretty nice project piece. I wonder if the intention is to bring him into the roster next season. I would happily cut lamb to bring him for a trial.

What's up with him? Haven't seen an injury report.

Where did you hear this?

It's on fantasy news, looks like Brooks said he has a thigh contusion...

We REALLY protect players, which is good, but...

A bruise on the right thigh warrants a night off :-? ? On the plus side, we'll be seeing a tonne of McGary tonight 8-)

The only positive so far tonight has been that Detroit got to see bad Reggie.

Yeah, checking the game thread the honeymoon is over for some. Looks like just a game up on PHX and NOP after tonight.

FYI to all I just locked the thread about who you'd rather play in the first round, bad karma to me. If you think I'm nuts I'll reopen it.

The Spurs are playing poorly too. I hope that continues.
