Well... i guess we saw what happens when the refs are not there to save the Raptors from a loss.

This. It was painfully obvious that the Refs were out to help them win game 5. Hopefully they won't try to do that with Game 7 as well.

I can almost guarantee Bird was on the phone making sure it does not happen in game 7.
And did you see the look on the Raptors faces after the game? The "ug, we're going to lose a game 7 at home again" look.

Nah sorry man, I did not see it. Was glad to see the Pacers whipped them tho.

The East is a joke once again tho. It's

Cavs

.....
.....
.....
.....
.....

and then maybe Hawks/Heat?

Yah... this is why ive always considered Wade overrated. Hes a bad leader. Great scorer, bad leader. The Heat on paper, even without Bosh should be a top tier team in the east and should have been able to take care of the Horncats in.. at worst 5.

That shot of the Raptors at the end of the game said it all though. Just... blank stares of doom.

That Heat team isn't terribly good without Bosh, and the Hornets are really impressive as a whole. Plus they're well coached. Wade is tough to call overrated.

Just glad Boston's out. Their fans still think OKC mistreats the players and they're unhappy. But will go to Boston b/c they have an all star. I want to root for them because they're fun and some of their fans are really cool, but man some just kill it. I feel the same w/ Toronto.

Curry has essentially played one playoff game so far -- he's played one half in two different games. The Rockets are now 6-1 in the playoffs and their point differential is 16.7 PPG. I know the Rockets had issues all season and the Blazers wouldn't be here if the Clippers hadn't lost their two best players for games 5 and 6. People throw out "stacked" way too liberally these days, but the Warriors are, without question, "stacked".

Meh. Portland isn't a good team and the Rockets are just terrible.

Somebody call Frank Vogel and ask him if he wants to work as a defensive assistant starting today.

I wish, and they have the opening w/ Monty gone too. But he's going to get head coaching offers quickly.

Quick, somebody call Frank Vogel and ask him if he wants to work as a head coach starting today.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Watching (sporadically) the Eastern Conference playoffs, and you know guys like Durant, Westbrook, Curry, CP3, etc. from the West really have to envy how easy LeBron has it. I look at the Eastern Conference this year (and, really, every year since LeBron started making his runs to the Finals every year) and there's not one team in the East that the Warriors, Thunder, Spurs, or even a healthy Clippers team would really fear if they swapped places/conferences with the Cavs.

The only time another non-LeBron Eastern Conference team has been semi-intimidating was the Pacers at their peak, what, 2013? And even that team doesn't/didn't really stack-up to the 2-3 best teams in the West since then. Don't get me wrong, LeBron is a phenomenal player, and even if he had some of these Heat/Cavs teams in the West he'd have made the Finals a 2-3 times; but he sure has heck wouldn't be about to make his sixth straight Finals appearance. I know the Raptors won 56 games this year (more than the Thunder) but I doubt there's anyone out there that truly believes the Raptors are on OKC's, the Warriors, Spurs, or even a healthy Clippers level. Heck, I'm not so sure the Blazers couldn't have made a strong push for the ECF this year if they were in the East.

The East is just complete trash. I've watched Game 1 of the Cavs-Pistons series and most games of the Raptors-Pacers series, but that's it. It's just terrible.

Curry and Thompson in game one = 8/27 FG, 4/13 3P, 20 PTS, 5 TOV (all Curry) and the Warriors still cruise to a 15 point win and led by as many as 20 points in the the 4th quarter.

At one point Steph and Klay had 8 and 6 points respectively before both hit semi-meaningless "game clinching" threes after the Cavs cut the lead to 12 with about 3 minutes to go.

Yeah. I can't even watch I turned it off 3rd quarter. Still hurts.

Sorry to ask but ...

Say Cleveland gets swept. Do you feel better about losing to Golden State because at least we gave them the best fight? Or do you feel worse because you believe it makes it look even more likely we'd have beaten this Cavs team?

Neither, Cleveland is a bad matchup so its no guarantee but I'd rather be there.
