Re: FFDL League Thread - Game On! IL?
I'll vote for the Yahoo IL. Makes things more simple.
That said, I won't mind if theman wants to keep Saric and we want to make an exception for this year - with the understanding that he always keeps an open spot on his roster, especially since he made a move based on the assumption that he could keep Saric. Please note that I'm not saying he can put him on the (now defunct) yahoo message board controlled IL once he technically misses 5 games, but rather that he needs to save an open spot on his roster for the full year - if he intends to keep him that long.

By open roster spot I assume you mean open IL roster spot. After all you drafted Rubio with the understanding that you would be able to keep him on the IL in perpetuity.

Re: FFDL League Thread - Game On! IL activated.
Okay, I've implemented the IL for our league - 2 positions. It looks like only players who are designed 'injured' are able to be stored on it (o, n/a, etc. aren't eligible). If Yahoo doesn't mark the player as injured, even though they are/may be, then there is nothing the league will do.
To keep the integrity of the draft, if you currently have a player that isn't in Yahoo's system on your roster, you can apply to keep them stored with an IL spot. This must be done by November 9th. To minimize this and keep the integrity of the draft, you cannot pick up a player during the season if they aren't in Yahoo's system. This can only happen during the RC/FA draft.
If you gain any advantage of misusing the IL with these two systems in place, you automatically lose the player that is using the 'silent' IL position. This player would then be available (like any other NBA drafted player) in the next RC/FA draft.
Everything good? I think this is the most fair thing to do. Will send out an email notifying everyone of the change. You are able to store/replace players using the IL immediately.

By the way, since I'm at an advantage to pick up players before anyone, I will wait until Sunday to make my IL adds.

Thanks.
So when can "a player that isn't in Yahoo's system" be applied to the IL? Is it now or after the fifth game missed?

Right away. Everybody with an injured/inactive player has paid their dues. Nothing from the our IL system will carry over.

I appreciate the IL list (redundant?), now I just wish Gerald Henderson would be considered injured and not "Out".
It does't make sense. Or better still he just plays.

I can't believe I lost to Frostbite. This could be the low light of my fantasy career.
No offence.
I don't like to look ahead but week 15 is going to be payback.

This week we match up against five former members of The Team. Perhaps we should call them our D-League affiliate.

I'm feeling pretty lucky that I made my draft pick late, because I would have taken Stanley Johnson, but instead ended up with Porzingis

I still think Kobe will turn his season around and might pay off during the POs but as I have 0 chance of making the POs at least I get value for him.

Yes, I had too many injuries at the time so I cut him, hoping he would stay on the wire to pick up at a later date.
