As expected, Mike Conley will not play in tonight's game due to his sprained ankle. Also the reports from News Channel 3 indicates that Conley's injury is not as bad as it appeared when the injury took place.

He's expected to miss up to a week and will be re-evaluated later on.

Definitely need everyone to pull together and ride out another injury storm.

Calathes definitely was on point tonight. Career high 22pts and 5 dimes against a very short handed, lackadaisical Milwaukee defense. He caught fire in the second half after the Grizz made their adjustments. Although it's a small sample margin, Calathes needs to continue to prove that he can exercise his duties as a backup PG in MC11's absence this upcoming week. With that said, Calathes must bring it for the next few games.

Although the game started rough, the Grizzlies managed to pull together and managed to get some runs going and make key stops in the second half in order for them to obtain the win. A well deserved effort from the team.

^^ Now that the Thunder's streak was broken at the hands of the Wizards of all teams. Who would've thunk it?

Wizards have been playing well lately. although Kevin Durant has been playing like Extra Terrestrial - don't see how anyone could lose with him on the team.

I like Grizz chances tonight especially because, keep this in mind, the Thunder are still the Supersonics underneath. They were probably getting hella fired last night and looking pretty dang bloodshot and high pied today. It could be a blowout. Nick Collison is probably still partying right now.

^^^lol Hope for the Grizz sake the Thunder party hard.

I recalled the last time they lost a game before they hit the 9 game win streak was with Grizz. Now with both teams missing their respective PGs', it will be an interesting matchup and a test of wills. I feel that the best way to defeat the Thunder should be the same strategy that they did to Portland last week. Dare the Thunder to take shots from the perimeter and pressure the defense on them as best as possible. They are likely to pressure Z-Bo on the block so when it comes, Z-Bo can kick out the pass to the open man so they can knock down the shot.

My concern for this week is about Nick Calathes. Yes, he scored a career high 22pts and dishes out 3 dimes. Keep in mind it was the Bucks they were playing against. He will be tested against OKC, Dallas, Atl, Cle, and Wash in place of MC11. Will Calathes should enough consistency to deserve keeping the backup PG position when MC11 comes back or will the Grizz have to go shopping for a more quality PG?
