They (ESPN's Doris Burke) called Reggie Jackson "unheralded" when drafted to the THunder. Can someone explain to me how an "unheralded" player gets drafted in the first round of the NBA draft to a multimillion dollar contract? because I need to get in on that. They also said he learned on the fly how to play basically with Westbrook injured. I found these comments ridiculous since I watched Jackson very closely as a college player and had predicted this success from the beginning.

Van, that's what the average joe call "not doing their research". It's clear that they did not in this case. When the average person does research on any topic, bias can interfere regardless if it's personal or just a state of assumption. I did not have the opportunity to watch Jackson play in college. So I'm not in any position to determine how good or bad he would've turn out in the pros. Clearly he's making a case for himself throughout this season.

yeah I know - they were comments I expect to hear about undrafted/DLeague contract signees is all I'm sayin' tho. There is definite bias to the stars on these broadcasts. My jaw dropped yesterday as they called Blake griffin on a "circus shot" and then when Steph Curry did almost the same move they called it "extremely talented".

One time I was shooting hoops in the park here on my own and I nailed one, over the backboard from behind the goal - perfect swish. I do this all the time. A man was walking by with his wife and he goes " HOLY CRAP! I bet you can't do that again!!!" So I said - "ok sure" and did it again!! he just walked away! All these NBA players are capable of more than given credit sometimes and even, sometimes, regular people like myself!

LBJ / KOBE / MELO / CP3 etc are not the only people on the planet capable of making great plays! :P

Nice story bro! Dude couldn't stand that you drained the shot back to back. You made him eat crow to go. lol
As for the Griffin vs. Curry deal. Natural assumption with Curry being a profilic shooter/scorer that he's capable of making shots regardless of impossibility. Griffin on the other hand was considered "lucky" to make the circus shot as he's not a natural shooter like Curry is.

Grizzlies won their last game on OKC's floor.. ... no reason they can't do it again?

As the seconds tick by closer to start time tomorrow, I'm starting to call this a MUST WIN game... :o

We need to handle business ala the SPurs in round 1 2011.

You're right. It's put up or shut up time for the Grizzlies. One thing I wish they do a better job on is to protect these leads. Got to know how to keep a clam on your opponent and never let them off the hook.

Sad I am going to miss this one! Really hope we can lock them down and our bench steps up.

They have to show the kind of concentration they showed in game 2, when they missed very few FT's, wide open jumpers, and bunnies at the rim.

They also have to figure out how they're going to deal with OKC's more aggressive P&R defense on Conley.

I have been so ready for this game since game 4 (which sucked the life out of me by the way). Being at game 4, there were multiple times in the game where it was deafening in the arena. Then, after the result in OT, you could here a pin drop in that place. One of the more disappointing games I've been to live.

Let's hope we can bounce back and get the win tonight. I'll be yelling again (this time at my tv though). Need a big game from Z-Bo

Missed most of the 1st quarter and it sounds like we've had a good one. Currently leading 30-25 and if I'm reading correctly Prince has been scoring!

Zbo looks like he's finally ready to atone for a very weak start to the playoffs.

We really need to bank these points while we can. I can't see us sustaining such a high clip all game so we really need to strike it while it's hot.

If they keep getting these shots, there's no reason to expect them not to score 110+

Yep huge rebound. Not sure about the T/O though... just gives OKC time to draw up another play for their next possession..

I'll never understand why Gasol didn't just pop it up
