Not surprising - he demonstrated last year that he's durable and shooters never lose the touch despite advancing in age.

The Grizzlies have to step up their bid to retain Mike. He really would like to stay and retire a Grizzly. Just how much is he asking for and how many years(likely two) is the big question.

The Grizz don't seem to be interested in going north of 3 mill per year preferably on a two year deal, while other teams may be offering the full mid level with a third year. We simply can't afford to do that. We still need to add a free agent backup PG who can actually play. The teams offering those terms are not his preferred choices, Denver and Portland, so there offers are not even being considered by the Grizz even if he accepts. The trick is that you beat the offer of OKC and the Clippers, which are both in the same financial situation as the Grizz and offers are assumed to be comparable.

Considering Miller's age, he'll be 36 at the end of the two year contract deal. If Miller is looking for a three year deal, may the Grizz can make the last year a team option and use that to measure how his performance from those two years will determine whether the third year option will be picked up or not.

Also the latest rumor have Miller and LBJ talking about hooking back up in Cleveland if James were to choose to the Cavs over the Heat at this point.

The latest of the late is he and Denver are hammering out a deal. I have to commend Wallace/Pera for holding the line and not overpaying for his services.
