My guess as to Memphis' plans

Post#1 » by Zordor » Wed Jul 1, 2015 7:10 pm

Memphis is nearing a deal with Mo Williams, they ship him to the Cavs in exchange for Haywood at Haywood's lower contract amount, Memphis then trades the Haywood contract when it balloons and Jeff Green (maybe even carter) to Brooklyn for Johnson, Brooklyn then can clear some of that tax amount off the books.

Seems like a solid plan if Chris Wallace already has it set up, it will put us in the tax this year, but it will give us a solid upgrade on the wing over carter and Green

Edit: because of league rules this could be in the woodwork, but it wont be completed for a while, and Haywood's contract would be larger by then, so perhaps not, doesnt make a ton of sense they are after him then... too many PG already

until now, CW is doing great, we need to draft for next 2/3 yrs, Martin could be very good, a starter PF.
Then we are in a win mode, so we needs vets: sf Barnes (for Tima + exception), pf/c Wright (MLE, a steal!)

now we just need a pg & c (for insurance), i hope if we can make a s&t with Kostas for that combo.
Bayless + Plumlee
Chalmers + Andersen/McRoberts/Haslem
McCollum + Kaman

kk for ross & bebe ? roster pretty packed though so we gotta do a 2 for 1 deal i too would like a change at PG even if it's not a clear cut upgrade and a nice Big at the end of the bench . a vet min out of nowhere like Wright for MLE would really open up our options . Stuckey ??

i think Antic went overseas but someone like him would be great , big dude that can stretch the floor , maybe even Bryon Mullins or Bargs on vet min deals as our last guys of the bench , better options than those two but you get the idea..

we could still use an upgrade on the wings really . what could green & a KK s&t get us ?

Green is a very good player, we have to change the way we play, If it dont work we can trade him later.

Forget Kostas, we could still trade beno + stokes for bayless + plumlee or chalmers.

No Chalmers for this team. Too inconsistent.
