I think that this trade officially pushes Indiana into the status of contender. I sacrifice a lot of the mini youth movement I had going, but now my core of Granger-Arenas-Landry are all 26 or 27 years old. I also still have DeRozan and Hibbert, so I really do still have a young team. I am really sorry to see Udoh and Hansbrough go, but this trade makes my starting lineup so much better that I think it is worth it.

Also, just as clarification, Udoh's salary is 120% of the rookie scale for the 10th pick.

accepted, while i feel landry has a bit more value than than this, he was not really in my future plans as an undersized PF who cant rebound. Udoh gives me some great shot blocking.

Miami gives: Mario Chalmers, Jamaal Magloire, Earl Watson, Theo Ratliff
Miami gets: Tyson Chandler
$4,788,006 x 1.25 + $100,000 = $6,085,008 > $5,500,000

Golden State gives: Tyson Chandler
Golden State gets: Mario Chalmers, Jamaal Magloire, Earl Watson, Theo Ratliff
$5,500,000 > $4,788,006

Miami accepts. We give up some depth but complete our starting 5.

Chicago trades: James Johnson ($1,584,080), Luke Harangody ($750,000)

Minnesota trades: Ryan Gomes ($4,265,000)

Trade works, as Chicago is currently $2,315,075 under the cap

We do this to get a solid SF/PF backup on a decent contract, who has an unguaranteed contract in case he doesn't work out. We like our rotation now and need only sign a PG to complete our roster

You do know that the unguaranteed status is only through 6/30/10, which in this game has past, right?

Minnesota accepts. At worst, we save some money and send Gomes to a contender; at best, Johnson shows that he deserved to be a lottery pick.

Roll over his name for additional contract details:

*All three years become fully guaranteed if Gomes is not waived before June 30, 2010.

Trust me, I'm a Wolves fan, I'm well aware of his contract situation.

New Jersey and Golden State has reached a deal.

Michael Beasley - 5.0 million

For

Wesley Johnson - 2.5 million (rookie scale contract)
Brandan Wright - 3.4 million
Total 5.9 million

5.0 million x 1.25 + 1k = 6.35 million > 5.9 million. Deal work.

With Griffin and Cousins expected to operate in the painted area, we need guy who can run in transition like a cheetah, move without the ball the floor, and armed with decent outside shooting. Wes Johnson fits the requirement. While I believe this is a talent downgrade and Beas is almost two years younger, this trade is for better fit. Wright is a filler and shouldnt be a bad 2nd/3rd stringer at PF spot. We wish Beas goodluck and joining fellow draftclass Derrick Rose and OJ Mayo might be the best case for him.

We accept the deal with New Jersey:

We were really high on Wes and continue to believe that he'll be a great player in this league, however, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to grab a natural scorer in Michael Beasley.

We accept the deal with Miami:

Chandler was originally signed to play the role as 1st big off the bench, but given his age we decided to go after talent that was a little younger.

LAC and IND have a trade to announce.

LAC outgoing:
Randy Foye - $4,000,000
Al Thornton - $2,814,196

IND outgoing:
Mickael Pietrus -- $5,300,000
A.J. Price -- $762,195

We pick up one of the best role players in the league in Pietrus and a young up and coming PG in Price. We fell our team needed move 3 point shooting and that was the main reason we pulled the trigger.

Portland and Toronto have come to terms on a trade.

SG - Jason Richardson -$14,444,444
SF - Thaddeus Young - $2,901,940
PG - Andre Miller - $7,269,264
PF/C - Jordan Hill - $2,669,520
2011 1st

Total Outgoing = $27,285,168
for

SF - Paul Pierce - $21,523,531
SG - Marco Belinelli - $2,380,270
PG - Marcus Banks -$4,847,586

Total outgoing = $28,751,387 (the deal works)

Portland accepts. Why? It achieves our objective, landing an experienced veteran on the wing to complete our big 3 (Dwight/PP/LMA). We do lose some depth in the backcourt, and a huge part of our future, but feel we can make some further moves to consolidate into a legitimate title contender.

Raptors accept. With the departure of Bosh we had to go in the rebuilding direction. This deal gives us plenty of caproom to rebuild this team from scratch with a few young pieces such as hill, young, weems, and amir johnson and an extra first rounder. With a "leader" in Jack and Miller to run the show. We would like to thank Marcus Banks for his service, was a good locker room guy, always practiced hard and was always good at waving the towel from the bench.

Indiana accept. Price is injured for most of the season and I don't haave another backup point guard. Foye fills that role and can take some shooting guard position while Thornton is another nice player to help my depth chart.

Dallas and Charlotte have agreed on a S&T deal

Dallas Trades/Charlotte Recieves
Willie Green..........$3,976,000
Kris Humphries......$3,200,000
Right's to Sofokilis Schortiscinitis
2011 POR 2nd

Charlotte Trades/Dallas Recieves
Jodie Meeks.......... $762,195
Tyrus Thomas.........$5,000,000 $5,400,000 $5,800,000 $6,200,000 $6,600,000 (player option)
Darell Arthur......$1,123,680
Derrick Brown....$762,195......$1,059,293

Why? Thomas was going to leave for nothing if we didn't match the offer and if we did re-sign him , we wouldn't play him that much so the only logical thing to do was Trade him off for a prospect and expirings.

We also waive Theo Ratliff in the process of this trade.

Thanks....Dallas accepts because PF was one of our needs and Thomas fits in nicely next to Nash with his athleticism...
